Jake Delhomme literally took us to a Super Bowl.............

Spencer Rattler is Dollar Tree Sam Howell. Sam Howell is Dollar General Jameis Winston.

I know that we suck at QB but maybe shoot a little higher than bottom third of the NFL QB backup.

Everyone isn't an outlier. I swear fans desperation has them ignoring all logic and reasoning.

If we're trying for a bandaid this season I don't want to spend much.

How about just lay back and let it happen? No Matt Rhule BS.

I am tired of panicked dum-dum roster moves for a bad team. The team is bad, whether we have Bryce or not.

From a fan's perspective? Sure. But Canales and Morgan might not have until the next off-season given the state of this dumpster fire and we have a lot of other young offensive pieces to try to evaluate.

Yeah, I don't disagree.

I am also skeptical of how close to the hot seat these guys really are.

I will say this, XL does not play to his size though when a ball is up in the air.  He doesn't seem to actually have any sort of advantage for a contested 50/50 ball.  That's really a skill set more than size thing.  Some dudes just go up great.

Yeah Smitty was like 5’9 and excelled at this. I don’t mean high jump balls but contested throws in general.

No telling. Tepper has a crazy quick trigger finger at times but then will keep guys like Hurney and Rhule hanging around after everyone is ready to pull the plug on the failure.

Dollar Tree Sam Howell yet he's starting in the league and Sam Howell isn't? Sound analysis my friend.

You paid attention to that roster down there at all?

Did that logic work for Howell/Winston when they were starting? How about Josh Rosen? JaMarcus Russell?

I guess starting in the NFL is now the litmus test for being a good NFL starter? All hail HOF QB, PJ Walker!

    • The defense is 28 out of 32 in salary cap allocation for 2025. We have a ton of resources tied up in the offense including the highest paid OL in the league multiple 1st round WR's and multiple recent draft picks across the offense at TE and RB and we have two 1000 yard backs. Bryce and company couldn't get past Tyler Shough and his crew in 2 games. That's all there is to it. You can spin it and put the entire onus on the defense to your heart's desire it doesn't change the fact that this is an OFFENSIVE team now. If you want to argue that we should revert back to a defensive identity as we have been in the past which has brought us success then I will agree with you on that. But as it stands the onus is on the offense because that is where we have invested through the nose. Dave Canales and Bryce Young need to do a hell of a lot better than they have against the rebuilding Saints who without us should only have 2 wins this season.
    • Bryce is not trending up. He is the same QB he has always been. Bottom of the league in most categories.  If Canales thinks he can build a contender with Bryce then he is a bigger idiot then I thought.  Offense next year will have the same issues and be just as inconsistent as it was this year.  We have seen Bryce’a ceiling and it is 175 yards a game and that is not a QB you keep around as your starter. That is barely a backup.
    • Looks like Darnold should have had at least 3 picks. That'll get ugly in the playoffs eventually. Can't deny his physical talent though. You either have that or you don't. Mike Macdonald is a legit coach.
