You can attempt to gaslight all you want but you are the one acting crazy about a pretty logical discussion up to this point.

We get it, you hate AT, JT.

It's funny you keep bringing up every insult you can sling including politics about what you perceive to be bias while claiming others are the ones acting "crazy" and portraying yourself as being a completely neutral observer with absolutely zero emotional attachment.

Good luck with that.

I am pretty sure everyone reading this has the exact same opinion of your emotional tantrum, frank.

Good luck with that.

Deserved, I wouldn’t use that word. Asked for? For sure. Am I upset over it? No.

People forget that AT was throwing his helmet in frustration last season over his QB’s ineptitude. The same QB was pretty inept to start this year, no guarantee AT would have helped him in those games any more than he did last year.
Just sayin.
And Dan doing him a solid probably did not go unnoticed by players around the league. I think it increases his rep with potential FAs. It sure can’t hurt it.

From Dan's interview it wasn't a solid. Adam told him he was going to be a colossal asshat if his wife didn't get her way. Lost all respect for the man.

I assume you are paraphrasing with the ‘asshat’ lol but what interview was this?

Even without that info it was pretty clear to see that his home life was taking a nosedive over the wife and kids being homesick, when this came up.
And you don’t want someone who doesn’t want to be there spreading the old negative vibes around your young players, your decision is pretty much made for you.
I have fired people and instead of letting them do a notice just paid them for that time and told them to not show up.

Of course I'm paraphrasing if you heard the interview he backed Dan in to a corner. Could have been a threat to retire vs saying he'd be a jerk. Either way he forced Dan's hand and I'm sure the Vikings were fully aware

Yeah. Agree, what was Dan to do? You have to take the L and protect your team from a bad apple at that point.

FWIW, I saw through AT completely with his behavior on the field and sideline last season week two I think it was.
He is really good at feeding the press an image of great teammate all about the team and blah blah but it is lip service. The helmet throwing stuff completely confirmed it for me. The joy at having a quarterback (Dalton) that could open up the playbook was obvious too.

Bryce has to learn to sink or swim without training wheels. The young WRs need to get their field time. He was probably addition by subtraction in the big picture. Plus we got a 4th and saved some money.

He has been clearly visibly upset on the field and sidelines a number of times.  I thought he would have forced his way out last season but his hammy put him on IR.

He was good at giving Bryce a target that wasn't moving and that's why they worked so well together. AT was great at finding the hole in the defense and sitting in it, but he did nothing after the catch. He is a good number 3 but he is not a number 1 reciever and as long as Bryce is the QB, he would be featured as one.

I'd rather Bryce develop a rapport with the receivers of the future. If we had AT, we wouldn't know what we've got with Tet. Horn Jr. wouldn't be on the roster. And I guarantee you we wouldn't know the name Mitch Evans.

I am grateful for AT for the time he spent here, and for helping to develop Bryce. But he was the training wheels that we needed to take off at a certain point.

You guys are hilarious at times. He played one game with Dalton. He had 5 passes thrown his way catching three and from that limited play you can tell he was "joyfull" for having Dalton.

🤣🤣🤣

Okay smart guy. See if you can find the postgame. Let’s just say there were no helmets being thrown

    • Sure it does, maybe not every position and not every draft.  You have to admit the hit rate goes down the further in the draft you get.  Would you more readily find a generational talent at the #2 pick or #19 pick?  High picks are considered "busts" if they doesn't pan out, whereas guys drafted later don't have that level of scrutiny upon them.  Different expectation levels.  If Styles does indeed go #2, I already listed the rarefied air that he would be in.  Maybe he doesn't set the League on fire, but my gut feeling is he does.  Again, you don't take an off-ball LB #2 if he is just a 'really good' player.
    • To illustrate my point, I watched (and commented on the Huddle) that Rozeboom would often wait a full second (or close to it) before taking his first step.  I assume that he probably had issues with false steps, a faulty practice that can take an ILB out of the gap completely.  Watch Luke and you see a step with the snap, and rarely was it a false step.  Rozeboom may have had 100 tackles (speculating) but initial contact was 2-3 yards on the defensive side of the ball.  Luke's 100 tackles were made 1-2 yards from the LOS.  Over the course of a year, Luke was much more productive (more fumbles, fewer long gainers, more OL penalties, fewer first downs, etc) that Rozeboom, but on the stat sheet, they both had 100 tackles.  In fact, Rozeboom's inefficiency kept him on the field more (more first downs, fewer OL penalties, turnovers, and punts) so he should have MORE tackles.   I would like to see stats that break down those things.   For example again, Josh Norman was slow--4.68 or so at CB.  However, his anticipation speed was incredible.  He made as many plays as a 4.4 CB.  I had one coach (college--later became the head coach at WCU) tell me that slower players have to use their brains more to still be around.  Elite athletes can just get by on their physical superiority.  He added, "Rarely does a football player run full speed.  Most of the time, they are not, so the 40 time is misleading stat.  Smart players overcome shortcomings--when the elite athlete becomes average (slows with age, advances in level of competition) they struggle against smarter (football IQ) competition.
    • Obviously tongue in cheek hyperbole. But we do not need a first round RB to compete for a championship. We need intelligent roster building. That to me is the complete opposite of intelligent roster building because it is a prime resource at a devalued plug and play position when we have needs across the defense.
