Nah, only thing that stopped Waller was his snap count and being eased back in.

there was a random play vs Dallas where Horn replaced Jackson but Canales has said they can’t really do that with Horn outside of a random play.  It’s on some round table interview.

Horn can’t travel because the rest of the D can’t play the man coverage required for Horn to travel.

Might be different against a team with no legitimate pass catching options outside of their rookie TE though.  Their #1 WR tomorrow has 8 catches this season, next best WR receptions number this year is 4.

If we can't defend that while Horn travels with their TE, then we have some serious problems.

Maybe we don't end up doing that in the end, but it's probably how I'd be scheming up the defense tomorrow when they have only 1 non RB pass catching option.

We are bottom 2 or 3 in the NFL in TE production. Luckily, they have Justin Fields as their QB. He is one of the few starting QB's in the NFL worse than Bryce.

Now if Tyrod gets subbed in, we might be in trouble.

Technically speaking, Fields has been a better QB than Bryce Young in the NFL.  I mean it’s bottom rung comparing by BY isn’t better.  Thats what I don’t get about the talk this week.  We don’t have a QB edge

I think we do have a QB edge but it's a sinking and floating turds argument. Fields is only dangerous because our LB's are the worst in the NFL and our pass rush isn't far behind. If we give him time, he is gonna make us pay with his legs.

It’s still the NFL.  Ask a weaker secondary on a team that can’t pressure to man up all game??? Seems like an easy way to give Fields layups.  People talking like Fields can’t have competent days when he has outproduced Bryce Young in the NFL.

I‘m just saying, BY being better isn’t statistically backed.  Overall, Fields is better and more productive statistically

If you are talking QB rating perhaps but Young has been a considerably more productive passing QB than Fields.

If you look at their 17 game career averages it's pretty obvious.

Young: 60.5%, 17 TD, 11 INT, 178.6 Passing Yds

Fields: 61.5%, 15 TD, 10 INT, 156.0 Passing Yds

I don't think people have still yet accepted how insanely bad Justin Fields is. He is genuinely worse as a QB than Bryce.

That's pretty terrible considering how much more physically gifted he is than Bryce.

Yeah, but if is just a straight up comparison of them as NFL players….Fields is just the more productive QB.  Do that, and BY only has him I think in one statistical category.

i mean once you start with the only passing counts and only the last  X games?  Well that’s the world every BY argument comes down to.

I don’t want anything do with either,  they both stink.  Fields at least is legitimately elite at one aspect of football.  Elite runner.   I just don’t get thinking we have some clear QB edge.

I mean, there is quite literally almost no category that Bryce is behind Fields in with regards to passing.

I am not creating anything new, those are their career averages passing the ball.

I really don't care if Fields is great running the ball because he is fuging atrocious passing the ball. He is basically a poor man's The Golden Calf of Bristol/Taysom Hill. He's a gimmick player that should probably be playing special teams primarily.

I get that you hate Bryce Young intensely but to just attempt to invent some scenario where Fields is a "more productive" passer is kind of laughable.

To that note, Fields has had one career season out of five in which he has averaged more passing yards/GM than Bryce's worst season in that category.

Comp %, TD %, yards/attempt, yards per/completion, QB rating…..all favor Fields.  How is that literally no category?????

Then you have his elite running.   And when you add that he takes Bryce in total yards and scores.  Hence why he is the more productive NFL QB to date.

if you want to dismiss what a QB does with his legs that’s a you thing. We don’t do it with the good ones (Cam, Allen, Lamar, etc) and it’s still relevant when comparing the horrible ones

Bryce hate? I’m merely saying I don’t get folks buying into this QB edge.   Where is it.   They both are really bad and Bryce hasn’t been more productive in the NFL

they both are different flavors of suck.  Fields has probably the odds for the best game and worst game and bigger swings because of his tools.

we have an offensive edge this weekend and it ain’t QB related.

You will see. Despite your faith in Fields, he will show you.

I have zero faith in Fields.  He is a really bad QB.   My entire point in this convo is just struggling to understand the argument we have a QB edge on Sunday and that’s why we should win lol.

Bryce and Fields existing is why neither team can feel confident in a win, essentially vs any team
