It is fascinating how different this forum is from real life.

I have had a BLAST this season.  Been to all 3 home games.  I was out today for the game.  Had a great time with friends and other Panthers fans that I have met along the way

I get on this forum to celebrate Panthers football with fans who have been posting on this site for ages.  Fans who have seen this team be AWFUL for a long time.  We finally get to a winning record, and yet the first thing people rush to do?  "IS BRYCE GOOD?"  "CANALES MAKING ME MAD"

But in real life?  The Panthers fans I have met?  Happy as hell.  Having a freakin' blast.

I am loving this season.  First time in a long time I wake up on Monday's just SUPER excited for Panthers football later in the week.

So to be clear, if we finish the season 7-10 with a whole bunch of blowout losses because we’re still making the same mistakes and poor play calling, so closing out 3-7 the rest of the way…

Will you still have enjoyed the season and be excited for our future?

If so, then congrats to you for being able to enjoy the season, but I also feel bad for you because to me, it means you’ve given up on us ever being a good franchise and contending again.

Our past is a sunk cost, I just don’t understand why fans are happy with poor play that results in wins over bad teams, just because of how bad we’ve been in the past.

We won the games because the other teams were worse than us, not because we played better, sorry if that doesn’t pump me up to watch us play poorly but squeak out a win in what will end up another season with a losing record.

as someone who didn't miss a home game for the first 20 ish years of the Panthers existence, I am very comfortable saying that yeah.

Fair enough.  Nothing more to discuss then.  Clearly because I am lesser of a Panthers fan than you, I will admit you are right and that we all "know" how this season will play out.

I am going to celebrate and leave the criticisms and over analyzing for another day.

Is this how you live your life?  Not enjoying the moment because it could POTENTIALLY get worse in the future?

That's pretty sad, ngl.

These are the types of wins that can build confidence for the tougher part of the schedule. The young team knows what success feels like, so hopefully now they know what it takes to continue winning.

Celebrating being below average just because someone else was worse?

Besides the win in the standings, what about today’s game was worth celebrating?

Sure, I’ll give you Horn’s picks and Brown’s play, but even that came against the most inept offense in a league that still has the Cleveland Browns in it, which is saying something.

I only think it's miserable if you're somehow upset or frustrated by posters not buying into Young. Plenty of celebratory posts with nothing to do with him

Exactly. There’s plenty of posts where people are celebrating XL, the defense, etc.

Dude really just doesn’t want you or anyone to talk about Bryce lol. This is a sports team messageboard. Over analyzing is what those who are on sports team messageboards do. If that is something that bothers someone; I don’t think this is the right place to be. What we do is no different than what any other fan base does for their team.

Are you suggesting that Panthers fans who pay money to go to the game are less likely to follow the team closely than someone who just posts on a forum?

Just want to make sure we are on the same page.

From my experiences travelling to plenty of Panthers games over the years this board isn’t real life

And the majority on this board don’t follow this team more closely than those that attend games nor do they even watch much football overall

There’s a few posters here that do and those I enjoy engaging in actual discussion with but a good chunk of this board I just scroll right past

Problem is we all know what the elephant in the room is. Bryce Young

we are going knowhere with his play. If our run game gets stopped he folds like a wet noodle 90% of the time. Not a great look for the future, regardless of a win

Bro, you talk like I actually play for the Carolina Panthers.

Sorry for being happy about my team winning.  I'll let the players figure out how to get better for next week.

Then that’s false confidence.

if your confidence gets built up when you play like about, just because you got a win because the other team was that much more inept than you, then you’re in bigger trouble than you think.
