If so, then congrats to you for being able to enjoy the season, but I also feel bad for you because to me, it means you’ve given up on us ever being a good franchise and contending again.

Our past is a sunk cost, I just don’t understand why fans are happy with poor play that results in wins over bad teams, just because of how bad we’ve been in the past.

We won the games because the other teams were worse than us, not because we played better, sorry if that doesn’t pump me up to watch us play poorly but squeak out a win in what will end up another season with a losing record.

We aren't 7-10, we are currently 4-3.. youre already making negative hypothetical scenarios to prove your point.  Honestly 7 wins this season was about my expectation, im not sure why you would have expected a lot more than that.  Anyways, 4-3 doesnt equal 7-10

thank you.  THANK fuging YOU!  my god, todays game thread was absolutely miserable.  What I learned in the game thread was bryce sucks, chuba sucks, canales sucks, dalton sucks.  Hell I discovered Corbett sucks so bad that he made mays make a bad snap.  Jesus buttfuging christ.  Its a win, not a pretty one, but who cares, NFL still is the NFL, talent everywhere and especially that Jets Defense has some exceptional talent even with the offense being putrid.  First time over 500 in half a decade and its the end of the world.  I remember us being "Insert win total" is the worst undefeated team in NFL history all the way to 15-1.

Plus most of us that did have also been wanting to bring in a different backup all along, and especially now that Bryce may be out some time

It's a road win which has been glaringly rare in these parts for some time now so I'll take it.

That being said.

The Jets had the 10th pass defense and the 23rd run defense. Honestly we're lucky we even reached the end zone the one time we did. 13 points 138 passing yards at 5.5 yards per pass against an 0-6 team is more of the same extremely obviously unsustainable circumstances the fanbase has continually gone back and forth over in the Bryce Young era. We're nearly 40 games deep here folks.

99% of the Chuba commentary was NOT about Chuba personally, it was that Rico was clearly the hotter back today.

I'd argue the defense did not look like dog poo. Especially some of our younger players, Horn, and Brown.

See, that is the difference between me and you.  I can acknowledge that they weren't perfect today.  But I also remember how they have looked since 2018.  I also remember how the season was looking after Week 2.  
 

So again, I am so sorry I am proud of a team who's literal slogan is "Keep Pounding" for doing exactly that. 

And I just care about winning.  We have won 3 straight.  I'm not going to be less excited about that just because we might lose next week or the week after.  That is stupid as hell.  I'm going to be happy, and I'll let the players and coaches figure out how to improve upon this performance.

I get what he's saying. Winning is fine, but if you're not improving, you're going to stay where you are, which for us is 4-7 wins, year after year. Losing, but showing improvement week to week, will eventually result in better play on a more consistent basis and then the wins will come with more frequency. Net result is consistent winning teams and playoffs. Short term vs long term.

The Jets  are winless this season & one of the few teams in the NFL with a starting QB worse than ours; and we still only won this game by 7 points. The defense played well, but our offense should have had the team well ahead in the 4th quarter. The Jets still had a chance to tie this game on their last possession. If the Jets had started Tyrod Taylor they very well could have won this game. This victory wasn't nearly as impressive as the last two.

Also it's worth noting the backup QB threads are predicated on the idea Young is injured. There's one grumbly Young post and the rest are because we are in contention still and if Young misses any time and frankly regardless we need a backup because Dalton looks old.

Just so we are on the same page - you feel the Panthers haven't shown ANY improvement since Week 1 or last year?
