BREAKING: Panthers signing a new QB

Jets Twitter literally would rather have him back over Fields and Taylor as we speak after this news broke lol. When he's on he's super charismatic and hypes up the fans and teammates unlike our current guys.

That's how I feel too, I got a rep and not just saying it cause Panthers signed him either. But it was years ago and I was hoping the Panthers would bring him in years ago...... He's a gamer and I am a sucker for those types, ala super Minshew fan too. I thought Mike White had the talent to start on a regular basis, but I got no clue about his recent injuries, shape, mind, etc.

No matter my thoughts, him not being on any roster with PS at 16 players is a huge flag. There's been other QB injuries too. Four years ago Id feel 10x better, but who knows....Dalton is the starter and hooker has been here since the first PS was signed.

See how the week goes....

Well they can snatch him from our practice squad as we speak.

No turning back on that relationship lol. Woody Johnson what an asshole

White was starting in place of much-maligned quarterback Zach Wilson in the Jets’ game against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17 of the 2022 season with the team’s playoff hopes still alive. White, who was playing through broken ribs, recorded an ugly statline with 240 passing yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.

After the 23-6 loss, which eliminated the Jets from postseason contention, White threw his helmet in apparent frustration in the locker room.

Johnson, who was also in the Jets’ locker room, reportedly said, “You should throw your helmet, you f---ing suck.”

Johnson later apologized to White for his profane outburst.

That would do it.

So your Qb is out there in the cold with broken ribs fighting with the "mighty" jets for a late season playoff spot and the owner tells you "suck" after replacing the #2 overall pick and getting in playoff reach.....

Again those are the type of games that won me over and I just seen it and I got a great eye.......

I mean it's the Johnson and Johnson family, I would expect nothing less from them behind the scenes.

If anyone has ever broken their ribs you know how painful that must have been for the guy and how many numbing injections he must have been given. I have seen people play like that it is crazy. I mean I had that poo and would no way be throwing a football too far nor taking hits.

Hooker must be terrible in practice, he got beat out by a Teddy coming off coaching HS football and now they bring in Mike White

Teddy gets a bad rap on this board but he was never a bad Qb especially the one season he had here.

Bryce Young plays a similar game as Teddy without the 70% completion rate, he's more of a 55 - 60% completion guy

I would be over the moon if Bryce was as accurate as Teddy, if you're going to play the dink and dunk game you have hit on about 70% of your passes, guys like Cam can live on 60% connect rate because they push the ball vertical and get chuck yardage.

With that said I wouldn't write off Hooker just yet he's a local kid with a big arm and those local guys when giving the opportunity to play for the home team usually exceed expectations just look at what Dowdle is doing.

No telling about Hooker. I wouldn’t think Canales has had a lot of time to spend working with him.

    • I thought this presented an interesting point. It is fair to wonder now, about switching the two QBs as so many tried to do that first year where Bryce was trash and CJ looked great.  It is almost the reverse scenario now and I wonder what CJ would look like here with better weapons better coaching and better protection. Overall, compared year one.  If each player had been in the other place for the three years. I would love to see CJ with this team now.  Just to see.
    • I really have no clue what to expect sunday.  To quote one of my favorite bands of all time, Operation Ivy "All I know is that I dont know".  We could win, hell we could win convincingly, we also could lose in blowout fashion.  We could be in a back and forth game with whoever has the ball last winning.  I legit HAVE NO CLUE.  This isnt the dominant bills teams of the past, Allen is still elite and can win any game by himself.  That said, heres my stab at looking at things. Our defense is made to stop this kind of team.  Strong against the run, a great corner but meh talent around the field.  We've stopped prolific run offenses this season.   Javonte Williams - Season low yards and ypa against us. De'Von Achane - Season low yards and ypa against us Breece hall - 3rd worst yards in a game Fact of the matter is, we arent what we were last year, we are a good run defense and that lines up well against the bills, Stop the run.  For once the lack of moving Jaycee might be a good thing, he will essentially lock down a side and without multiple real weapons thats fine.  Buffalo does not have an elite guy, theyve got a gaggle of average dudes.  Allen will stay away from Jaycee, it will be on Mike Jack and Chau Smith Wade do to their part and they will be matched with guys they can play at the level of. On offense, we do what the bills are bad at.  We run the ball well, and they suck at stopping the run.  Rico and Chuba will need 30 carries.  Andy Dalton will need to be opportunistic.  My big fear is what we learned last year, Dalton can get overconfident and make bonehead throws.  Its this simple.  Run the ball, stop the run.  Dont turn the ball over.  If we do these 3 things, we will be in a position to win in the 4th quarter.
    • This makes me wish we took a flyer on Quinn Ewers late in the draft
