We're basically the 2024 Colts... a "serviceable QB" away from being a legitimate team

What do we need to get someone like Joe Milton or something over here and just give 'em a shot. I am so desperate for anything right now.

Milton is who I had in mind. I'd much rather take a shot on someone like that for a Rodney Peete year (better than what we got, but not the guy for the future) than reach on another mediocre QB in a mediocre QB class. I'd like to see us draft MLB in the 1st this year. And maybe our QB of the future is there in 2027.

Yeah. I am thinking someone’s backup. That isn’t a retread (like Dalton), preferably. Someone who has some tools and experience but hasn’t gotten a shot.

If there is one of them around.

You don’t have to wait three years to judge him, Canales can get his shot at coaching a guy he picked, maybe draft a flier too if there is someone we like.

And the price wouldn’t be prohibitive. Or if it is don’t do it.

Don't remind me...😭  Dude is on pace for a 1,000 yard season as a rookie TE. That sh1t is freaking unheard of.

He's a system guy they said...he's a gadget player they said, his game won't translate to the Pros they said.  Well, they were WRONG!

Anyone that said he’s a system guy never watched him at Penn st. He literally was their offense. Taking direct snaps, lining up as HB, FB, Wr, Te, the offense moved bc of him. The guy was an absolute unit on the football field.

Yeah, I think it was just a lazy way to dismiss him and write him off.

LMFAO

its not even close.

Steichen has proven himself as a really good offensive coach, the eagles offense got worse when he left, the opposite happen in Tampa when Canales left. Steichen almost made the playoffs with Minshew.

The colts have the most balance WR core in the league, we have the most one dimensional core in the league. We have never addressed the TE position they drafted the best TE in the country. By every single metric that measures pass protection our O-line has been mediocre since last season, and the colts have the best RB in the league.

You are in for a rude awakening if you think we can plug in a Daniel Jones type and be successful.
