Goalie play sucks

Canes need more. Freddie Kooch and Buss aren’t playing well.  Trade?

Kochetkov is 3-0 with a shutout and a GAA under 2.

Bussi is 4-1.

Freddie is 5-4-1.

Tell me who isn't playing well, again?

Records are misleading.  Watch the games. Koochie has the last good goalie game vs the rags.  Goalie play after has been poo with mixes of good. So many 6 shots 2 goals lately.

The numbers probably even out for Freddie because he will stop a few golden chances, but he gives up soft goals.

Sure if you look at surface stats and don't take into account level of competition....

 

Big difference between this year's rags and the frigging oilers, and the number of high dangers given up....

 

.1 % difference in save percentage...   the problem is the defense no one is gonna look great consistently and vs elite competition without Slavin and Chatfield on the ice.

And there is a huge difference between this year's rags and the frigging two time western conference champion oilers

Oh, that part of the equation is easy. Since the injuries began stacking up, the Canes are beating bad teams, having dogfights against average teams and losing to good teams.

Eeh they have squeaked a win or two out vs good squads.... 

But tbh given who (Slavin) and the fact that its hit all the same postion..... its still quite impressive, I'm in fact not worried at all its not about the regular season....  canes are a much much different team with Slavin and Chatty on the and by trickle down having the rest of the d were they should be.

Completely agree. They have, in my opinion, played exceptionally well considering the routine shuttle flights between Raleigh & Chicago with players in the starting lineup the very night they arrive... lol.

Yep I don't think ive ever seen us with a rash of injuries to one position group this bad.. .

 

Literally Nikishin is the only one who hasn't missed time *knock on wood* every other d man is either currently out or has missed at least half the games so far...  heck the dudes are the back ups back up.

They have beat 5 of the top 7 teams so far. They have some damn good wins. Plus the leafs. Which will be better.  Canes ARE beating good teams.
