It is. You don't need the #1 pick but most good QBs do go in the first round. You never know which one is gonna hit, so you have to take the chance if it's there and it's a need.

100%.  Gotta take shots sometimes, but be ready to move on when you have a historically bad player in his third season.

And maybe not trade the farm for the next QB.

And maybe bring in some real vet competition.

...ahh well.

Burrow is back.

They'd be better off if the Ravens had the type of record they were expected to have and they were basically already out of the running but with the Ravens and Steelers sitting at 6-5 they're still actually in the running so you kinda have to bring Burrow back. They'd honestly be better of just punting on the season and focusing on next year.

Who knows? Pickens is talented as hell but is a complete knucklehead. I'd be really leery of committing the big guaranteed money that someone is gonna give him this off-season.

He is a knucklehead. The question is if he will eventually mature enough to get past his very clear anger management issues.

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
