A player that I think has surprisingly played well the past month...

Someone who is quiet in the defensive backfield is a good sign.

Chris Gamble, back in the day was the silent assassin. They never said his name on TV after the first couple of seasons because other teams just gave up trying to throw to his side of the field.

Scott might not be that level, but he's sure holding down his end of the job.

I will happily take quiet on the field over the many screwups he had the first half of our games played. Still think we should upgrade at FS if we can, but happy that he isn't a guaranteed liability every play now

Just because he isn't bad doesn't mean he's good. He's not a complete negative lately but he still offers 0 upside and 0 splash plays unless they throw the ball at his face.

Ransom and moehrig>>>> even tho they're both ss

Don't think anybody here is saying he is good. I'm just glad he hasn't been a significant detriment to the team like he was the first 5-6 games

Nick Scott.

I feel like the 1st 5ish games, I was screaming that dude's name out many times in a game because they would pick apart his zone or he would miss a tackle that always moved the chains for the other team.

I really haven't been calling his name the past 4-5 games, which is a huge improvement for him.

We don’t say that word around here. Not even slightly. Shhh

I don't know man. He definitely have a great block for Corum to get into the endzone Sunday. But agree, he's been much better lately as the entire defense has.

Yes, when you have a little running back wrapped up by an interior lineman, he's still fighting, and you have a clear shot to bring the hammer, you do it. Somehow he came flying in, got ran over, and Corum scored. And I've seen him fly in and knock teammates chin strap loose who had players on the ground. Just inconsistent and highly upgradeable. Would love to pick Caleb Downs if there isn't a game changing LB there in round one. That's never been our modus operandi, but ya know, dreams and what not.

    • Umm yeah. When did he get it done at the right time? I seem to remember a 4-6 finish and needing Atlanta to win our way into the playoffs but whatever.
    • I mean....no lies detected. See above. We have traded a fortune to draft a guy #1 overall that people have lowered standards for to the point that not playing like Jimmy Clausen and looking like a poor man's Kyle Allen occasionally is worthy of a contract extension making him one of the highest paid QB's in the league. That is cope on steroids.
    • summary: "let's talk about your draft, what did you think about Freeling" Dan:   guys with a huge upside, can come in and compete to start.  High ceiling "he does what for your offense?" Dan:   it's hard to find left tackles, guys that big and athletic.  We have Icky coming off an injury, we signed Walker, I believe your offensive line can never be too strong.  If we're going to win the game, it's gotta be up front on both sides of the ball, so we make a point of emphasis on making both sides of the front as strong as possible. "how many mocks did you see Monro falling to you." Not many times, left tackles are gonna go a lot earlier than when we took him.  We want to add the best player, in free agency or the draft"  that's our philosophy, to get the best players possible. "Hunter and Brazzell." Dan:  we followed the board.  Lee we felt very highly of him , super strong.  Brazzel so flexible and loose, can open the verticle.  Will Lee we held in high regard. "you take a look at your receiver room, Coker, my goodness, your offensive rookie of the year in Tet.  Lost Rico, but there is Jonathan Brooks. " Brooks coming off two knee injuries, he worked his way back, looking great, fully healthy, will help in pass and run game.  Icky, not sure when he's coming back but we're excited about both "plan on extending Bryce" we'll keep talking, will keep internally.  We believe in him, has such a great grasp of Canales and offense, has improved every year. "he's clearly come back from the benching, the arrow is trending up, where does he feel" Bryce knows where we stand with him, when and if a deal gets done, he knows we feel great with him, we'll get something done at the right time. "if this a prove it situation?" everyone in the building has to prove it, has to earn it. Tmac was everything we wanted, his work ethic, he's so big and talented, but he puts the work in, and is a great teammate. "your level of expectation, the building's level of expectation for 2026 "our goal is to win the division every year, we know we have to earn it.  we have to put the work in every day, proving it on the practice field, and our  guys know that." "schedule" we haven't opened at home in 2 or 3 years.  We love prime time games, hope we get some "
