I hope you are right on this.  I feel like we are turning a corner.  The next 2 games will tell.

I will say next season will be the real test. Still learning how to win close games and building the team. Few more pieces to complete the team. Happy to see what they have accomplished so far.

I really hate when we get this optimistic and act like this team is right at the cusp. We beat the Rams by 3 even though we had a pick 6, forced another 3 turnovers, had no turnovers and scored two long TDs on 4th down. All that and we still needed Brown to strip Stafford to keep them from forcing OT.

I’m all in and will be at next week’s game but we aren’t anything like some of our past playoff teams that were legitimate SB contenders. We’re just the only team above .500 (by a half game) in the worst division.

There is still a lot of work to be done and we still need good drafts. Tet’s been great but Scourton and Princely aren’t blowing up. A lot of playing time but man we still need more top players. One or two injuries to our stars and we suck.

Lol. I know. We’ve got a whole thread about the ups and downs. We still have a chance at the playoffs if we can stop losing after every win.

I just hate the heaps of praise on our front office when we’ve still got a ton of real holes even with some really good wins.

There’s something happening here, what it is ain’t exactly clear…

Bad and untalented teams don’t beat the Rams, Packers and Cowboys. Hell, even in our most dominant seasons those 3 wins would be very impressive. 3 of our losses were by the best teams in the AFC (Pats, Jags, Bills). They swept the falcons, our kryptonite team. Screwed the pooch in Nola and San Fran. Should have beat SF. That still stings.

This has been one of the hardest schedules this team has had in recent memory. Going up against the best teams in the AFC and NFC, actually winning a few and now 2 wins away from the playoffs???

They used to be considered the team NOBODY with playoff aspirations wanted to play in December, and that rings true once again. It’s Far cry from the get right game they were not that long ago.

yeah, with a 7-10 finish and borderline top 10 pick still being on the spectrum of finish possibilities (at still wouldn't log as the best Tepper season given we have gotten there in a different really weird season that didn't make a lot of since).

I heard on some random news show this AM:  (At 5 am-- I am rarely up then--I think ESPN (A white dude, a black dude, and a white chick)

If the Panthers beat the Saints, they have a 70% chance to make the playoffs.  If they lose, TB has a 70% chance.

To me, that is high.  With 2 games vs Tampa Bay left and a Dec 28 games vs. the Seahawks, I would say the percentage should be about 55-60%.

I think it was Week 5 some years back: After a good start, we played the Titans and got our asses handed to us.

"Exposed" was the buzzword of the day and everyone was certain that our season was about to dive straight into the toilet.

That was in 2003 😐

    • I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.
    • Gronk is the best TE of all time, but he also played with Brady. Clarke was great, but had Peyton and in an era TE's didn't make crazy money. Kittle is great, but the two times he's made the SB, he was still on his rookie contract for one, and the other the 49ers had Purdy on a cheap rookie deal which help them build the rest of the roster. So again, it's not about not wanting an elite TE, of course it would be nice.  But realistically, in today's NFL, unless that elite TE with a top end TE salary is on a team with a GOAT level QB and/or other serious cap savings (i.e. key players on rookie deals), then I think it's not a good use of cap space.
    • This place was the poo pre tepper with tons of hilarious posters like phillyB. Joined in the 2000s during the 07 season and have been here bitching about this team since. but yeah its sadly been dying a slow death, every time I come to this site I am surprised its still up. I think the 2015 season was the absolute peak, the Panthers and this board especially just haven't "felt" the same since then. Igo should really sell the board since he clearly doesn't care anymore. Also, Reddit blows and the Bryce defenders on there need Jesus.
