What gets this team past this?

We're the same as most other teams by the end of the year...a disappointment. It's pretty amazing we've gone to 2 Superbowls. The sad fact is most other teams are in the same boat. We're never going to be the Packers and just be excellent every year. We have a chance about once a decade.

44% of the nfl makes the playoffs every year.  We've made it ZERO times since 2017.  We're a statistical anomaly due to jncompetence.  No one is saying go to the super bowl, just not be fugjng dogahit.

Fire fuging evero!

1. QB

2. Head Coach

Those are the two problems we have a hope of seeing fixed. Obviously the true #1 is David Tepper.

I think you gotta add defensive coordinator in there also, I may be wrong, but I think that 11 minute drive was the only one since the jags defense gave one up in 2024, it’s a very, very rare occurrence.

Yeah. I soured on Evero a while back but his contract is up at the end of this year. If he gets extended, that's not him that is the problem.

An extension would not surprise me.

Big players make big plays in big games. We have good players and solid players but we don’t have game changers no matter how much some of you want them to be.

We don’t have a Steve Smith, DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, Julius Peppers, Luke Kuechly, or Cam Newton. Those guys would take a slant to the house, strip/sack TD, pick 6, bust a 75 yard run, etc in big games and change them. We don’t have one.

We don’t have anyone who can change a game. I think we have a good core group of guys but we don’t have difference makers. I think if Dan can mix this offseason between finding those guys and just building more depth it will make a difference.

This is exactly what I have said. This team does not have the "difference makers" yet. Rozeboom had a fumble right in his hands. Tmac had a TD right in his hands he just could not secure. Sure was a good play by the defender, but it was RIGHT there. The late hit on the slide by Shough to put them in better FG position. Horn getting beat AGAIN by Olave on a critical down. The pass rush was there today, those guys showed up. But... when the game was on the line and they needed a big time play, who stepped up?? Not ONE player! Panthers were in prime position to win this game. All they needed was one or two plays. Rozeboom coming up with that fumble, Horn breaking that pass up. Getting a first down when we went for it on fourth in that crucial moment. This all after a bye week and the Falcons helping them out by beating the Bucs. I know it's a fickle league, but if there are play makers in this team, they need to learn to step up during the most important times. They should not have lost this game! I mean, we had the momentum and everything looked good... what happened? Sorry for the rant, I'm just more upset over this loss to the Saints than the last!

Good point. I'm just saying that I feel like this team is a legitimate contender about 1 out of every 10-12 years, on average. I'd love to make the playoffs, I'd love to make them consistently, but even that would get old...like the Buffalo Bills. They prob say the same chit we are saying after losing in the AFCCG for the 5th straight time. Ultimately, I just want to experience 1 championship in my lifetime 🙂

I agree with the above poster. We have a lot of good players, but no real gamechanger. I don't think DB can hit his ceiling with these players in this scheme. Horn is good, but I've always felt he was a little overrated. No BS, Jalen Coker is the ONLY one on this team that has made the play literally EVERY single time the ball has gone his way, unless I'm missing something.

It’s why every game is so close or a blowout. Every play is measured so much to not be a negative play. Evero’s defense is based on bending not breaking so they aren’t exploited for a massive play. Why? No bigtime edge rusher or ball hawk.

The offense is the same way, take 10-15 plays to work up the field. Why? Nobody to make the huge 50 yard run after catch or RB to break a tackle and juke half the defense. Or none of these players to earn attention from the defense and free up other guys.

Dan needs to target people that can do this.
