I've legitimately never seen this kind of rationalizing of a blowout loss for any other Panthers QB. Honestly embarrassing.

Bryce did not have a good game. 

Giving up a punt return for a TD, missing a 55 yard FG and  giving them a short field, giving up a 61 yard punt return to our own 14 yard line.  

We crossed their 50 yard line numerous times after the first drive.

We scored on the opening drive.
Held them to 3 and out.
Went from our 23 to their 45, punted.
NE return for a TD.
Went from our 40 to their 40, punted.
NE tore through us for 80 yards in 6 plays to score a TD.
Went from our 12 to their 37.  Missed FG.
NE takes a short field and scores again.
Start on our 18. 5yd penality on us. 0 yd run, Incomplete deep pass.  2 yd run.  Punt.
NE returns the punt to our 14 and score again.
Then open the 2nd half and score again.
We start on our on 6 and drive it to their 35 where we go for it on 4th, don't get it and turn it over on downs.
It was really over by this point.

Field position / special teams were the difference in this game.  We had more rushing yards, overall yards, 1st downs and time of possession in our favor by 10 minutes.  NE had had some great playcalling keeping us off balance.  There were the better team on all 3 sides of the ball that day.  Maye had an elite game but only had to pass the ball 17 times.  No turnovers by either side.

This wasn't a game to showcase how good or bad Bryce Young was at the time.

Neat little trick of Dave Canales offense is instead of interceptions bryce just turns the ball over on downs and there isn’t an individual stat for that.

We were 2nd in the league this year going for on 4th down 40 times.  We were successful 67.6 % of the time, 4th best in the league.

So 13 turnovers on downs? And how many of those were they just trying to pick up 2-3 yards? 

it’s an interesting quirk of Canales philosophy and I’m not sure what to make of it yet. I don’t think it’s sustainable. Without looking I’m guessing the team ahead of us is the eagles or bills.

id like it a lot more if it didn’t feel they called it because they’re not comfortable all game passing past the sticks on 3rd and 7.
