You honestly think Rico is processing that in real time?

Hes got a million dollars on the line and damn sure knows losing yards risks that.... lmfao

No he probably couldn't process the exact yardage but I guarantee you he knew he didnt want to lose yards

I agree and wondered why it hadn’t been brought up yet. The guy needs 7 yards to get the bonus so might have made that decision himself. Granted, it looks like he had it locked in with the receiving yards, so maybe not. Plus, I think Dave admitted to calling the flea flicker in the post game interview.

The more I watch it the more it's evident that its a flea flicker.

The line is pass blocking and Rico looking back almost instantly after he gets the ball

Doesn't change the fact that the smart move by rico is to not fling it when falling

Which would speak more about the state of the NFL and the game we love more than anything. Because if Rico is doing that so are other players. Maybe it's time to stop supporting this league if this is true. As hard as that may be. It's sure not the game I grew up watching. Neither is college football. Just saying... IF this is the case.

Your wrong. Dave admitted in the press conference after the game that a fleaflicker was the call and that he stood by it because it would have worked if…..you know……it worked.

    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
    • I don't really follow the team anymore due to a variety of reasons and consequently have largely stopped posting but I agree that this is a lovely website and community. This forum probably kept me around for years longer than I would've stuck otherwise because of how difficult it was to stop checking multiple times a day. Especially appreciate how lax the moderation tends to be compared to a lot of places, the crew here does a great job. Out of curiousity I decided to try making a new account (solely for testing purposes) to see what exactly is wrong with the sign up process. The issue seems to be that it never sends you an account verification email, thus making it impossible to complete registration. This is likely something to do with the email server upstream, hope it gets fixed. Also, lol
