Its all talk right now. Actions speak louder than words.

This is why I have said that the last straw for me on Dave and Dan will be how they deal with that QB room this offseason. Improve it or I am 100% out and I will be calling for their heads until they finally roll.

Chambliss in every thing I've seen and read is next up behind Mendoza and Moore (if he declares). I'm not talking rounds, talking next qb picked

Mendoza could be a generational qb depending on the coach he's paired with. Talk about hitting the qb lottery. From there it's a bunch of day 2 and day 3/ udfas left. Probably more day 3 than day 2 IMO.

I never understood the whole wait until the next draft class. Always try to improve the room. If Bryce is or isn't the guy is irrelevant. Brady was Bledsoe's backup. Eventually NE traded away Bledsoe, but then drafted, developed and traded away Jimmy G and Cassell for quality picks because they were good enough to start somewhere, which is the entire point of a backup. Being able to start in case of <insert reason>. It's just part of the business in the QB room. Your job is secure until it's not.

I'm already out on Canales. But as long as the players are behind im I will tolerate him 1 more season. I love hearing all their contracts are aligned so that indicates there's a plan when this inevitably goes south.

Who is your second QB in this draft?

Moore.  I am an Ole Miss fan who really loves Chambliss and i watched him every game, but I think he is very raw, comes from an rpo system that doesn't prepare qb's for the nfl, and is only about 6 feet.  He really should have had like four int's in that last game vs. Miami.  I also didn't think Dart was an nfl qb so what do i know.  I would even take Ty Simpson, Nussmeir, and Allar over Chambliss if i were drafting for the Panthers.

Sounds like it's a good draft to take a qb day 3. One of those will definitely be there and all are an upgrade over Plummer and could probably beat out Dalton at this point

It's the same with the OL group. Why would you not continually churn that group? Worst case scenario, you are moving players because you can't pay everyone.

I am too, TBH. I guess it's really more Dan Morgan than Dave.

I am nervous that this "alignment" isn't skepticism but belief. I don't think Tepper will make the right decisions the next cycle. I think once again it will be either HC or GM being fired out of cycle and then another merger of the minds with the existing entitites. I am not of the "Oh Tepper has learned!" crowd. I think he has learned to not be such a fug head in front of company and that's about it.

It's the Lane Kiffin thing. He is QB poison.

TBH, I think history will prove you correct on Dart.

Dart is going to get a new HC and probably a good one in this cycle, if someone can convince him to stop taking these big hits on scrambles he might develop into something.

In this case it’s just people arguing dishonestly to give their boy more time.

if there was a qb worth it, well the panthers can’t afford to draft him

if the panthers could afford to draft him, then all of a sudden they’d have bigger needs etc

similar to them challenging who’d be an improvement from FA, even though we don’t even know who’s going to be a FA. Also funny since history has shown basically any free agent would be an improvement.

I personally don't believe Tepper has changed that much. The only thing new is his stepping back from the public eyes as much as he can. I guess you could add exhibiting a bit my restraint or should I say patience with this crew. But that will only last so long as a leopard don't change his spots. He will fire everyone if they only win 5 games next season.

All indicators are that the Giants are set to make another bad hire at HC.

I think Dart is just generally kind of stupid. You hear him talk and I really get the sense he is not one of these brainy, analytical QB's.

Extremely skeptical of him. They probably should have kept him on the bench at least 2-3 years to let him learn the position.

Ive never seen a qb with his kind of arm talent willfully seek out out not just contact, but head first contact. Like baker will seek out DBs to put his shoulder into. Dart dives like a tackling defender in NFL blitz 98.

He had good coaches in his college career, and Mike Kafka is not a dumb guy. Surely there have been attempts to get him to stop and he’s always just like “yolo bitch”

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
