Of all the trucks we saw Cam do, that was one of the least memorable when I think of him running over someone.

especially since that was the only game we lost in the reg season that year

I think Stafford chose to go to the Rams

I don't think he had a no trade clause, but very possible the Lions gave him the option of selecting the destination if all offers were equal due to his service with that organization.

Still fun / sad to think what could've been had he come here like rumors had it back then.

People apparently forgot that offseason. Stafford and wife met with McVay in Mexico the offseason he moved. McVay convinced him to leave. Stafford went to the Lions and had a very emotional meeting in which he said he wanted to leave. They obliged based on his time there and the compensation offered(which included Goff).

It was a very amicable split. People in Detroit still revere him to this day. He has been open about his affinity for them, as well.
