Top 5 draft targets for positions of need

JT Sanders has been such a disappointment.  I really thought he'd be good after his promising start to the rookie season.

Ian Thomas looked promising his rookie season, too.   At this point I want a FA TE.  We have bigger fish to fry in the draft than taking a stab a another project TE, which isn't even a major component in this offense.

I wouldn't mind taking a shot at Kyle Pitts.

My dream FA splash signing. TMac, Coker, and Pitts would be a legit scary skill group for Bryce or whoever the next guy is. If Brooks comes back healthy to pair with Chubba, sheesh

We have to go heavy defense and throw some OL in the mix at some point.

I'm consistently mocking OT, ILB, Edge, CB, and WR-(s).  Either a S or second Edge/ILB regularly. I'm starting to a C consistently to the mix now.

Depending on who is left at #19, I wouldn't mind moving back to get a another late 3rd or 4th rounder.

Okay, the way I understand the trade according to one article I read is the 7th got flipped to a 5th. so we gained a 5th and lost our 7th. Is that correct?

That should be correct. All the conditions for it to work in our favor played out

This team simply needs more blue chip talent which is why BPA is the only way to go. It’s the best way to sustain long term success

We've still fuged up in the past going "BPA". We drafted Butler at DT and Shaq at LB when DT and LB were some of our biggest strengths of the roster. Butler was a flat out bust and Shaq was basically a JAG starter at LB. I know that triggers some folks, but sorry that's just the truth. We overdrafted him then doubled down on that and overpaid him.

In the past we had drafts that needed specific targets but given the current situation of mishandling those drafts you are correct.

Better option than drafting one right now.

Yeah probably. Not sure it is realistic, or not really risky. I mean we are counting on Bryce to unlock him. I have such a negative view of it that I think every guy we have at WR would do better with another QB.
Except Thielen.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
