Panthers re-signed LS J.J. Jansen to a one-year deal.
The long-time snapper of snaps longer than the average snap will enter his age-40 season with the Panthers in 2026. Jansen has played in every single game of Panthers football since signing with the club as a UDFA in 2009. He has recovered one fumble and made one Pro Bowl. He also has snapped many, many balls a moderate distance away from his person in an attempt to set up some good punts and kicks.

Beginning to thing that JJ Jansen will be able to get his social security check by the time he retires.

thanks to this one guy, we have the oldest roster in the NFL--48.4 years.  Without him, we are at 25.6.  Go figure.

The long snapper signed a one-year contract Tuesday with an eye toward extending his franchise record of 277 games played.

Jansen, who turned 40 in January, is 27th in the NFL in games played. He can move into the top 20 in league history if he plays all 17 games next season.

The only active players with more games played are Denver Broncos tight end Marcedes Lewis (290) and Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell (278).

Jansen has never missed a game due to injury since being acquired by the Panthers in a trade with the Green Bay Packers in 2009 and has been remarkably consistent through the years. Jansen never played for the Packers, spending the 2008 season on injured reserve

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
