Is this class decent enough for a flyer on a 4th round development QB?

We'll see. There's some guys who are intriguing. Drew Allar would probably be the top of my list. Talen Green has Anthony Richardson type physical talent and that's always intriguing if you can get it in the mid-rounds. The Baylor guy and the NDSU guy are two others. It's just really hard to predict exactly where these types of prospects are going to land on the draft and they're probably scattered wildly on draft boards across the league. All it takes is one for a guy to go a lot earlier than expected.

Jordan Reid is pretty locked in and an expert that I trust more than others. Pretty sensible and logical with his thoughts, and the rumors he hears quite often, are not click bait.

I was intrigued by the buzz about the Panthers at the combine. Chubb? Thibodeaux? Hendrickson?

If Fano falls, run the card up. I don't care about arm length with the production and versatility as a LT or RT (see: Slater, Rashawn).

He then comes back with a rush LB though, which is odd given the first statement about preferring to address in FA/trade....

Only guy I'd look at based on the way the board fell here, is Wheatley. TBF, Thomas is probably more of a BPA over Wheatley. Hill, Jr. goes 46 and Rodriguez went 49th. This reminds me too much of the '23 draft when we thought our guy would be there and we settled for DJ.

I'm just not sold on us being highly interested in Fano. We seem to prefer big mauler type OL and Fano is the opposite.

Last tackle we drafted there were different people in charge. May or may not make a difference.

Mason Thomas fascinates me but that size scares me even though he looks really good on film and has the production to back it.

I have a very hard time believing any of these types of rumors this time of year. We're in peak lying season. LOL

No it's legit!  I probably wouldn't draft Downs before pick... 19?  Just to play it safe.

Yeah, with our luck with injuries we'd draft him and he'd pop his ACL walking across the stage to shake Goodell's hand. LOL

Its from the combine doctors and some team in the teens leaked the infro(my guess), its 100% legit. My thinking is he was a game changer with a bum knee. MCL should heal before TC and if he makes it until the end, fix the knee/acl/whatever in the next off-season. Like the short armed DE bain, he's not going to fall far even with bad news...just too good.

I thought I saw where all the Tackles were projected to be right tackles in the NFL.

    • https://nfltraderumors.co/2026-nfl-draft-grades-for-all-32-teams/      Grade: B+ Best Pick: Sam Hecht Biggest Reach (consensus rank): Jackson Kuwatch (NR) It's easy to love what Carolina did. The Panthers traded four times but ended the draft with the same number of selections that they started with and in approximately the same ranges. They did not take a player ahead of the consensus until Kuwatch at No. 227, and it's easy to see how he fell through the cracks playing at Miami of Ohio. He's a high-end athlete, though, and has a chance to develop, which is a fine profile for a seventh-rounder. Freeling and Brazzell also checked the high-end athleticism upside boxes for the Panthers. Carolina let the board come to them in the first round and could have a long-term solution at left tackle, which is a hard position to fill. Brazzell slid because of some maturity concerns as well as the difficulty in projecting receivers from Tennessee's Mickey Mouse offense. At 6-4, 200 pounds and 4.37 in the 40, though, the upside is undeniable. On top of that, the landed three starters on Day 3. Normally that's a high and unrealistic bar, but Hecht and Wheatley were both firmly inside the top 100 on the consensus board and have paths to win starting competitions. Lee fits the scheme well and has some interesting traits as an outside corner. What stopped me from a full-out A grade is not loving the Hunter pick, though he does fill a need to replace DT A'Shawn Robinson. There were prospects at other needs positions I would have been more jazzed about. The Brazzell pick is also an interesting risk for a team that's still in building mode, even coming off an NFC South title. Still, I'm nitpicking
    • I was just a teenager when I joined in 2013. I've loved the many opinions on this forum, even though several are infuriating. I've had several bad takes, myself,  that I've hopefully grown out of over the years.
    • i have not watched many gt games.  is it his accuracy that hurt his draft stock his armstrength or all of the above?
