I smell something fishy.  Why would they do that? He had a less than good 2nd season but he had a really 1st season.

me too--he is 23 and had a 700 yard season

Here is what I found:

"Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen and WR Brian Thomas Jr. are facing scrutiny due to Thomas’s "sophomore slump" in 2025, characterized by high drop rates (5+), reduced production, injury issues (wrist/ankle), and apparent hesitancy in 100% contact."

I am not sure how much we should screw with the receiver room.  We have had wholesale change each of the last two seasons, and both times we started off poorly.  If we tweek it a little bit, so be it, but nothing more than that.

If you bring in a head case (and it sure sounds like that may be Coen's take on Thomas Jr), imagine what that might do to XL.  WHen I see drops and a coach complaining about a drop in production, I think we should drop the idea.  I see him going to Denver or Baltimore.

I agree with others, seems really weird they would move off him after year 2.  Had to be major locker room issue if actually on market.  After story broke on X, some Jags sources tried to down play it.

I wouldn’t trade XL for the guy and it doesn’t have a lot to do with XL.

There is something wrong with this picture, buyer beware.

Let me tell you guys, lots of people have talent. Talent is cheap. That is like, the easiest thing to have.
It is what you can do with it that makes the difference. Like Robbie Anderson, like that idiot WR we traded for from Pittsburgh two years ago, Johnson.
They both had plenty of talent.

    • just read the thread. I would like to say that the team not being sold to Tepper is an absolute banger of an answer and probably the right one
    • "If you could change any one instant in Carolina Panther history, ... just ONE, ... what would it be? Initial gut reaction when I first thought of this question is Kasay kicks it in bounds on the kickoff, but unfortunately I still think New England wins that game even with that My second instinct was pulling Bene out before he breaks his leg in the playoffs. My crackpot theory is if he never gets hurt we win the superbowl. I refuse to go back and watch the game but at some point Peyton throw an absolute duck that should have been pick 6'd. but because we were on our like fifth outside corner he was slow to the ball. this would have completely flipped that game because I'm pretty sure Denver scored that drive and the next one was the Cam sack fumble
