He did record 73 QB pressures but I thought our primary need is someone who can finish sacks consistently. 

I guess this is what $30MM a year gets you these days.

If we can't work out trades (which is probably why neither are cut yet), likely happening.  Should free up $16ish mil more (that includes the dead cap offset)

I don't think there's an EDGE we could've not nitpicked had we signed them:

Phillips - injury history

Hendrickson - older

Chubb - older & injured

Epenesa - JAG/better than Jones/Wonnum?

Oweh - unlocked under Minter just last year

Reddick - older

Mafe - numbers were down; lost in the SEA shuffle

 

We needed EDGE help (and have for several years). Dan goes out and gets arguably the best EDGE guy at only 27 years old to pair with two young EDGEs. Can't really complain.

Folks, he is going to be 27.  These numbers are scary good, imo.  5th in hurries, 9th in pressures, 14th in stops---the man makes things happen.  This should send Jones II and Princely to the reserve roles in the rotation.  If Scourton continues his level of improvement, we are much improved.  I really thought the Eagles had this fish in the boat.  Wonder if Morgan remembers the Eagle that got away last year?
