Injuries happen but the concussions are worrisome, any TBI is since you can't actually see the injury or repair it like an ACL. After the 1st they come easier. I've had 4 myself. I do know that my bell gets rung much easier now than it did. All we can do is hope he can stay healthy.

Concussions will always be an issue with a contact sport.  And yeah, concussions suck, also speaking from experience.

Yup, that's about how I've been mocking it of late, specifically like this If I can get it to work out without forcing it:

RD1: LT

RD2: CB/LB

RD3:LB/CB

RD4: C/WR

RD5: WR/C

RD5b: LB (yes double dipping)

RD6: S/RB

RD1: BPA

RD2: BPA

RD3: BPA

RD4: BPA

RD5: BPA

RD5b: BPA

RD6: BPA

End of 9th page. Posting now. Will read the rest later.

This is a fantastic signing. He is absolutely an impact player. Meaning he impacts every snap.  He has to be accounted for by the offense.

This is a great addition for the defensive line,  and pass rush.

The contract is what is average for a starting caliber pass rusher in the NFL.  So the contract doesn't bother me at all.

Injuries? This is the NFL.  Hold your breath for every player in the league if you want to.

Yep - if you see a guy that can create enough impact on a snap-to-snap basis, you take him.  Impact is the key word for us this year.  Less about patching in likely-journeymen on their second contracts.  The Wonnums, Jones Jrs, of the world.

And the contract is Hines-Allen/Burns/Sweat territory.  Still behind all the elite guys and those are all year-plus old contracts anyways.

This is VERY close to Nick Bonito's contract at the start of 2025 season.

I gues# he went to Miami. Morgan keeps tabs with his old program. He was probably very familiar.

Those concussions though, very worrisome.

Funnily enough, nobody currently at Miami coached him - that was Manny Diaz's staff.

Morgan is close with Cristobal, but he wouldn't have been able to give him a recommendation.

Oof, I can't get on board with Sadiq.  I like Rodriguez.  Sadiq is an athlete playing TE. I want a complete TE that happens to be a pretty good athlete.

Well I like Evans and believe him to be more what you prefer so I guess let it ride and BPA

Forgive me but I don’t get the Most Ickey hate, does he let about 2 blow by him a game? Yes. But I’ve been around for much much worse and I thought our OLine played admirably last year with all the flip flopping.

I think the Ekwonu hate is because he's had an incredibly serious, potentially career ending, knee injury.

I get that but the hate was around way beforehand. We aren’t gonna have superstars at every position guys.

That said I do hope we sign Decker.

Probably people were leery of giving him a big money extension.

    • Any idea what happened to him at LSU? im reading that he was considered a 1st round pick in 2023, had an off 2024 season with only 4 sacks but was also on a horrible FSU team then went to LSU where he was supposed to be on an aggressive defense that should have given him a lot of sacks but he only ended up with one….   was he injured? Did the top SEC competition expose him? What happened? Cause this guy was considered a top prospect .
    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
