Anquan Boldin?

We don't need him.

If he's pissed about not getting targeted in Arizona, how do you think he'd fit in over here in a run first offense with Steve Smith as our first receiver?

Not to mention we just don't need receiver help right now. He's a tremendous athlete, but I'd be pretty pissed if we paid for Boldin to come in when we have so many other needs on defense right now.

NFL Live guys talking about how much Carolina would be licking their chops to get a guy like this... why though? Sure he's a great player but do we need him?

Then again, with Jake at QB, we need all the help we can get.

The problem is, would Jake even look his way to throw him the ball. He'd rather throw into double or triple coverage if there's a chance Smith can catch the ball. Or hold the ball waiting for Smith to get open. In other words, Boldin would be very unhappy in our current offensive scheme, so we should pass IMO.

Now come on, really do you think Jake wouldnt look his way? I know Jake does not look for more than one receiver per play unless he has plenty of time, but he would get him the ball. I know all you guys think its cute to bash Jake this bad, but it is a lil absurd. Yes that last game made me want him fired too, but Moose did have 68 balls caught this year which isnt bad for a number 2 in a run offense so please stop the same ole same ole talk everyone is spewing. Boldin is not coming here, the Panthers don't make moves like that, unfortunately but I would be for it except our defense needs some help.

I don't get the media and fan talk in regards to WR at all. We don't need to be worried about that and if you are you didn't pay attention last season. We have Smith and decent options after him considering our offensive style and QB. Considering our QB and his style, we have almost the perfect offense surrounding him. A high level WR brought in is suppose to help us score more than we did the 2nd half of the season when we got rolling? It is suppose to help w/ our lame DL and average secondary (when you combine those two it is a reciepe for disaster)? Is it going to help the most conservative coach in the NFL (per the Zeus computer) not hurt us w/ his lame coaching?

Coaching, defense, and keeping our OL together are our concerns.

Come on people be realistic. Jake wants to make the big plays, and if Boldin was on this team at #2... Jake wouldn't have to worry who he threw it to then.

He knows Smitty is Pretty damn good at getting the ball even in double coverage.

Jake isn't the best. But, he's definitely not the worst.

If we had Smitty and Boldin on the team, and our run game was getting stuffed... they would open it up... and vise versa.

Now... will we even try to get him? I highly doubt it.

not to mention, people are say'n Boldin was complain'n about not getting the ball enough... that may be part of it... but, then again, in the Probowl, Tiki interviewed him and Boldin said it he loves his teammates, but it was the organization.

I'm sure the organization wasn't throwing him the ball, ot stopping him from getting the ball thrown to him.

Anyway... here's hope'n I guess.

He wasn't pissed about "not getting targeted," whatsoever. The dude got over 1000 yards again this season... he was pissed about the Cardinals apparently not standing by a word-of-mouth agreement to redo his deal prior to last season.

C'mon, Dimbee. You know the drill. it was Jake's fault about that too. Everything else is. Stop trying to bring some truth and reality to the discussion!!!

Yea, because those 65 times he dumped it off to Moose for almost 1,000 yards and all...

Yea, Jake NEVER looks elsewhere  Give me a break... Do you even watch the games?

    • I could be waaaaaaay off about Kon. I do fault myself into, to borrow a NFL phrase heavily "RAS" nerd on players, too much. There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
