With these FA moves, PFF guys don't know who to mock to us

I don’t really buy WR or TE in the first 2 this year. Should just avoid pass catchers in R2 in general given our history lol.

By that logic, #32 counts as round 2 then since we traded up 1 spot!

It will be interesting. If there is a run on OTs, then what do you think? We may have to move up.

I think either Lomu, Freeling (Go Dawgs!), or Proctor will be there though. It's gonna come down to our valuation.

Yeah. We just have to see how things develop. I know they have several quality minds working on scenarios and contingencies.

For me in this space and in this time, I have things I accept as fact. They may be my opinion but I am operating as though they are facts. As follows.

We have a crisis. A fire to put out at left tackle. Ignoring it is not an option.

It seems unlikely we are going after the top rated LOT guys in FA at this point.

So there is the draft. That’s it. We must explore all options and we must solve it the best we are able to. Even if we have to sacrifice a little.

So with the above as my guidelines, I am tossing the luxury of BPA in favor of being practical - in this specific situation. I had no issue with it last year, but we are in a hole right now. I don’t see a choice, we have to address the need.

That's a horrible mock. They're underselling the tackle need.

Tackle is a viable 1st round position to take.  Even if it’s immediately to fill in for Ikky, the long term plan would be a Moton replacement.

oorrrr….  Hear me out.

For the first time in over 2 decades draft a top-flight, ball-hawking, Free-mfn-Safety.

LB, really? How much money and high draft picks do we need to throw at the position?

We sign a LB then we ignore it? After we've had a terrible lineback group since Luke left. CJ with Devin Lloyd would be excellent. I prefer to take a LT in the first and an Anthony Hill Jr or Jacob Rodriguez in the second. By no means is LB finished or fixed

So, do you think Lomu and Freeling are going to be better than Omar Cooper? Do you think they'll have a bigger impact in general, and impact for us?

In general, I don't think it's a winning formula to draft inferior players at less valuable positions, not saying that this is the case.

Yes. I'd take both players before I'd take Cooper. I don't think either player is inferior to Cooper as prospects, regardless of position.

Agree. I want to draft a quality LB

my ideal, which is such a long shot to line up this way, but trade back for the tackle in rd 1

Use the booty from that to move up for LB (Hill is probably my choice) in the 2nd.

C in the 3rd or just BPA.  S, TE WR DT whatever looks good. And so on.

If Mesidor is there I’m taking him, I would still go pass rusher, our pass rush was awful last season one guy isn’t changing that.

We need to sign a small shifty veteran WR, Metchie would be a decent get

Signing as opposed to drafting high, and the profile of shifty quick rather than long, I agree with.

But I can’t do anything in the 1st other than tackle unless they address it before the draft.
