Fans be ready to bury XL 6 feet deep for a drop pass but want to draft another guy with issues? Nah

Concepcion doesnโ€™t necessarily end the Legette experiment which I think is part of the appeal.ย
ย

two different types of players, Concepcion being a highly coveted skillset that is extremely difficult to find.ย

He seems to be a good KR/PR. I imagine Morgan and Canales are looking for that. Still not my preferred choice at 19. I think this WR class is deep enough you can find that stuff in later rounds.

WRs maybe. The issue is his skillset is a highly coveted attribute that teams chase hard. Look at what Wandale Robinson just got in free agency.ย
ย

you can find a smaller guy later in the draft, sure. But finding a great one who is twitchedย up and explosive and ready to make plays? Those guys go extremely early.ย

I'm not thrilled with the idea of drafting any WR at #19 unless Makai Lemon falls, but I will say KCC does have the right skillset to be a really solid slot receiver and that is what we need if we do go WR.

My fear is they will try to force any WR taken in the 1st round into being the #2 across from TMac instead of realizing they have that guy already (Coker) and find a good slot option to compliment our outside WRs.

Or this could all be a smokescreen and we'll end up going DL or CB. Who knows.

You donโ€™t really draw offenses up like this anymore, at least not if youโ€™re good.ย
ย

you want guys who can play inside out or anywhere in the field to mix things up. ย Concepcion doesnโ€™t have the ideal frame to play outside, but heโ€™s not small either and it looks like he charted reallyย well on what are considered more perimeter routes last season.ย

He's a dude on the field, but I would be doing a ton of research about him character-wise. I could see some teams worrying about him in the locker room after how poorly his interviews have reportedly gone.

This type of comment reminds me we really did well with T Mac. He is not a diva type at all. And it is such an occupational hazard with WRs.ย

Go watch his highlights, itโ€™s a lot making defenders miss not breaking tacklesย

Of course. Why would any receiver who has the ability not be elusive and avoid the tackle?

You're trying to make it seem like he's some week receiver that gets touched by an arm and goes down and struggles to make contested catches, but that's simply not the case. Is he more elusive than strong? Of course. But the fact is that most receivers aren't going to have a bunch of highlights breaking tackles. Steve Smith is not the norm, but even Concepcion has a few highlights, including where he wouldn't go down and basically dragged a defender in the end zone.

Lemon also returns punts/kicks too. It would be a miracle for him to fall to 19 in my opinion even with all the alleged baggage.

Thats my whole argument, heโ€™s not the type to break all tackles. He has one way to win and thatโ€™s being elusive and quick and I donโ€™t believe that worth a first round pickย
