I just don't get the Moton thing. He played in 16 games last season (and the playoff game). He's had worse seasons from that perspective. His health hasn't really been an issue, and his actual play is still solid. Why are you throwing dirt on him? Some tackles play well into their thirties.

He's mentioned knee pain but dismissed it as no big deal. Knee pain is always a deal of some sort and it doesn't get better when you're heavy. It's just one of those things that you have to be concerned about. If we have a decent backup plan, a drafted tackle in development, that's a good plan. Keep any future contracts short and priced accordingly.

He doesn't understand the nuances of things like.  Hes a fantasy football type follower

And you know this how? Stay in your lane, junior. I'm pretty sure I'm a lot older than you, am a whole lot more experienced with life, and have watched football in earnest probably longer than you've been alive.

Its about economics.

I agree, but I was talking directly about injuries.

As far as the economics, I'm assuming that Moton would have to take a pay cut and would probably be compelled to if he wants to stay in Charlotte. He seems like a thoughtful and practical guy. He knows that he's getting older and realizes the nature of the business. Hell, last time there were were questions on whether he would be here the last season. Dan and Brandt were dialing up the pressure. I don't think they're going to go into any type of contractual extension discussions without having a backup plan--i.e., a person that will appear to be Moton's replacement. And, to be honest, that person may be Moton's replacement depending how things go. But, I get the impression that Moton wants to be in Charlotte (unless he's developed some undying desire to chase a championship somewhere else).

Doubt lemon is there but Boston is very very intriguing.

Boston would mean we would have three very similar receivers: Tet, Coker, and Boston.   More likely we take a shifty slot guy.

I would hope so. It has been years of the cookie cutter physique - obsession with long stride long armed taller guys.

We need that twitchy slot guy that can just go.

Seems obvious to me that we should get that kind of a guy, we don’t really have one. And the best WR in our 30 year history was a guy like that. The best tandem we had was that guy and a big long strider in Moose.

I see the vision, but if that’s the case, I don’t think you go wr in round 1 unless lemon falls maybe cooper.

I just have the itch its Cooper.  He has a very complimentary fit with McMillan and Coker.

Cooper WR + Haulcy S/Slot and maybe a trade-up for Golday ILB would be an interesting haul.

I would not be mad, I could see maybe targeting a guy like branch or bell in the second to also fill that role. I still wouldn’t sleep on the taller guys either, I think some maybe better overall then the shifter guys

Yeah I won't discount Lemon or Boston if they're available.  I just think Cooper fits super well.  Totally possible they like one of the others just as much.

My wishlist is something like this:

1. Thieneman S/Sl

2. McNeil-Warren S/Sl

3. Kayden McDonald DL

4. Omar Cooper Jr. WR

5. CJ Allen/J Rod LB

*Love Freeling & Lomu but have a hard time not hearing about our FO wanting more immediate impact picks.

And then I have my post-19 guys that I really like such as Haulcy, Golday, Stukes, Kilgore & Abney

This list of very close to what I have, well done. McNeil is growing on me, I was just unsure his fit at fs, seems more as ss, curious how’d he hold up against te in coverage, I see the talent.

McDonald is a sleeper for me, could be our version of vita

I’m a fan of cooper, I think this deep draft at wr too,

I know it’s blasphemous but j rod reminds me a little of Luke, and paired with Lloyd we maybe be looking at Luke/td reincarnated.

O linemen of any kind, although not the “sexy” pick I understand is essential. I’m all for adding guys from the 2nd round on for the o line but I’m not sold online is the pick either because of similar reasons you’ve stated. Proctor would be hard to pass due to the measurements.

strukes seems to be moving up, I’m worried haulcy may have scheme fit issues, read he played mostly cover 1 coverage and may struggle with our cover 3 scheme but the talent is there to be a very good coverage s

One of either could be there.  Brugler reported teams have Boston as their #3.  Tyson's injuries haven't been flagged/seem minor so teams that love him will get him (could go as WR2).  SO that's Tate and Tyson potentially gone, Boston and Lemon could both be there.

Lemon is a guy I think could be the perceived "gone" that's just there for us and we take him..an obvious (and major) impact type.

You take lemon in that case with zero shame, major fit, and a dawg like Morgan has wanted. Him and T-Mac sheesh
