BREAKING: Panthers insider says KC Conception is the favorite @19

Recommended Posts

This draft is deep at WR...

Is there that much of a gap in later rounds?

Once again I see a great OL available in the 1st rd and still have a great opportunity to get

A productive wr later.

Again, if we draft Sadiq over KC 'CuZ ThAt RAS Is FiRe!' Morgan and company are bigger morons than I thought.  Some folks are mocking Tampa taking Sadiq, they may have to save us from ourselves.

We had had zero contact with Sadiq

Yes, but if he's BPA on the board at #19 then that doesn't matter.  We can't contact every possible prospect in our range.  Heck, a few guys we contacted will be LONG gone before #19, but they did it any way.

Again, Sadiq is my only hard NO with our first round pick.  Anyone else in that range I will be cool with, even DL.

Given morgans/panthers draft history it would be incredibly rare to draft someone that high that we havent had any contact with.  I think he is either off our board for whatever reason or they think he isnt going to be there so why waste the time.  I dont know.

Have we had any contact with dillion T?

Took care of ND, played well against Delane, torched Cisse.  His WR coach was that same guy who coached Waddle and D Smith at Bama.  Lots to like IMO

He’s also substantially big than both of those guys. People can fixate on a contextless stat that appeals to their confirmation bias if they want here: when you watch a guy play and route up high end man corners-he’s going to get drafted high.

ill add another stat: It was mentioned on the radio that he apparently faced the highest percentage of uncatchable balls over 15 yards in all of CFB last season.

Watch him play and he consistently had to climb the ladder. Hes a good player.

Not according to the contact tracker in another thread, but the 30 visits had not been used up either so we may have visited him since then.  However, Dillion T's. stock has steadily been rising.  Several weeks ago he was still considered an early second rounder.  I've seen recent mocks with him now going as high as #12 to the Cowboys.  That's roughly a 20 draft slot difference.  He was out of our range weeks ago for #19, but he's firmly there now.

McShay just said his stock (and Tysons) were skyrocketing from what he is hearing

Then again many draft experts say you absolutely cannot believe anything the week of the actual draft.  Thursday cannot get here fast enough

I agree, he's a very good player.

He wrote a nice piece the other day too; seems like a well put together dude.

Tyson can't stay healthy.  Some argue if he could abstain from injuries and minus the concerns from past ones, he'd be WR1 in this class.  Some team is either going to get a steal or see their first round pick sitting on the training table a lot.

I listened to him draft season last year and it convinced me McShay is one of the go tos a few GMs use for misinformation.  His info last year was wildly off yet he claims he has direct FO intel.

Examples being- The Jags were eyeing Jeanty (trade back bait), he went on-and-on about Jalon Walker as a top-5 pick and was convinced Dart was a Saint.  Mason Graham was falling.  Milroe was apparently a 1st.

This draft may be just as unpredictable, if not more than last years.

More trades ahead of this year it seems like. That scrambles things up considerably. Or could.

Talented as he is, I’d just as soon take a chance elsewhere.

They say the best indicator of future medical health is past history. His history, body parts come apart. Last thing we need.
