LAST MINUTE: ESPN's Matt Miller's final cock draft

Recommended Posts

Carolina Panthers

Miller's pick prediction: Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon

Tight end and safety were the two positions that came up most when polling league sources about the Panthers. This spot is seen as Thieneman's potential floor but also serves as a popular landing spot for the speedy Sadiq. Though Carolina keeps its workouts quiet, especially when it comes to Round 1 targets, Sadiq fits what it lacks at tight end. One source within the organization wouldn't rule out wide receiver but noted that the Panthers probably wouldn't reach for Denzel Boston (Washington) or KC Concepcion (Texas A&M).

He's not even the best TE in this draft. Why would they listen to a so called draft expert that changes his top 50 prospects every week. Someone wants the Panthers to take this bum because he is going day 2 if they don't. This is starting to piss me off.

I just don't understand how lazy these guys are. It's easy just to follow what some guy picked early on and they keep it up. We have not even met with him. I don't have anything against Sadiq, but we have several other immediate needs. I know it's not sexy pick but OL and DL should be in play.

Somebody needs the Panthers to draft Sadiq at 19 for their Polymarket bet.

Thank god this settles tomorrow. It's not going to be Sadiq or Concepcion.

I sure hope they don’t take either one of KC or Sadiq. And I am not against a WR just not anyone without 100% great hands, at least in the first. I din’t think either one of those guys fits.

But Bryce can’t elevate anyone, and they know it, so they think they have go top shelf.

So you think Sadiq and KC are top shelf?

    • And that makes you right.
    • Mel Kiper said he would retire if Jimmy Clausen wasn't a successful NFL starter too. Just because the experts make a claim doesnt mean it's true either.  Bryce may be a serviceable QB for someone. Serviceable QBs don't bring you a perennial winner or lead you to the playoffs over and over. Serviceable QBs also dont get 50m plus per year deals which is what a Bryce extension would look like.  The stats show he hasn't been even a serviceable QB in the 3 years he's been here. The eye test shows he hasn't put together 2 franchise QB salary games back to back in 3 years.  Complain all you want about people being negative, but people pointing out that Bryce is held to a different standard than anyone else on the team isn't complaining. It's stating the obvious.
    • We have big bodied WRs and 3 TEs who all have potential and each bring something different to the table. I never saw the need to go out there and try and find a new starting TE.  While it's nice to have a guy like McBride, Bowers, etc, I think a team's better use of the cap is by having TEs on rookie contracts or cheap vets, not having to pay elite TE money.
