i have not watched many gt games.  is it his accuracy that hurt his draft stock his armstrength or all of the above?

Well he had essentially a 70% completion rate for almost three thousand yards.  Biggest issues were awkward and inconsistent release.  I wouldn't call arm strength bad, but not great.

I LOVE the King pickup

2024 UGA vs Tech: In Athens. King: 303 passing yards and 2 TDs. 110 rushing and 3 TDs. It took UGA 8 OTs to go on to win 44-42, but King was the star. That dude is tough as nails.

Dude has the heart of a lion and exactly the type of player Dan has said that he wants. I could really see him making the final roster.

I'm not gon lie, his playstyle reminds me SO MUCH of Jaxson Dart. Damn near exactly the same build too. If nothing else, I could see him being used like a Temu Taysom Hill near the goal line.

The little bit I watched he does look a bit awkward.
Also just an FYI because I have heard talk saying he will be used like Taysom Hill - Morgan says no he doesn’t see him as having that skill set.

I would say that seems like an odd comment from Morgan, but at the same time it's almost impossible to find a college QB declaring for the draft to have less physical ability than BY so you can assume almost anyone you bring in would be your go to QB sneak/designed run guy.

He basically said he is here as a QB and then what I said already.

It is in the E White video, the first of two posted here

Exactly the person I was thinking of as well, but Dart throws a better ball. Regardless, not many men go in to Athens and put up 400 yards and 5 TDs.

At the same time some of his mistakes are what helped Georgia back in that game.

He just doesn’t look that appetizing to me. And I am hungry as hell. But I am glad they are at least trying to upgrade from the likes of Jake Plummer.

Sans the rushing ability, it reminded me of a classic Jake type game. Not my choice of a franchise guy, but if his talent translates to the NFL level, he could be at least be a viable backup you could win a game with.

It would be nice if you are right.

He's a Temu The Golden Calf of Bristol.

He has the right attitude, he's an absolute dawg and I hated playing against him, but he simply can't throw at an NFL level (unless he's miraculously reworked his throwing motion between December and now)

Yeah. Aside from the questionable arm skill what I see is he lacks the thickness to absorb hits, he won’t hold up as a running QB. So not sure what his path will be.

    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
    • I mean, our TE room does suck but we had other pressing needs and no surefire upgrades in the draft. I was surprised at how many TEs went in the first three rounds. I think most everyone was. You want a guy who projects at least as a guy who has the potential ceiling to be a starter in those rounds and I didn't see 11 of those in this draft. Off the top of my head, I think that's how many TEs went in the first three rounds. It was in that range. That's roughly 10% of the overall picks. Definitely did NOT see that coming with this TE class.
