Thanks--I would call Isaiah smith an Edge (the others are 3/4 DEs -- wide DTs) but he is listed as a DE.   Meiga is a WR--who played at Coastal.  (Like Canadians have never come down to Myrtle beach before?--go in april--the place is crawling with them)

April!  Psh, come in the winter, this place is full of them and they are swimming in the ocean.  April / May is when we get everyone from NC, Ohio, Maryland and Kentucky, a few from WV and Virginia.  Winter months is all about the Canadians though

Could we have our very own Taysom Hill with Haynes King?  I’ve been sitting here, drinking beer, thinking about this.  That kid is tough as nails, will run and take a beating, can certainly pass the ball and catch!  I hope he makes the team but probably won’t.  He might be the best QB we have in the room now!

I think both have a shot--along with King, QB, who will make this roster. (emergency QB?  I don't think so--I think he may be an offensive wrinkle used more than Pickett--I am confident that they will.  I also think one of the big OL might make it as well.

Literally like Hill. He's not QB1 material (now or ever), but if we can turn him into a H-back and use him like  Swiss army knife, that's his ticket to make the roster.  H-back/emergency QB.  I wonder how good his hands are?  If they are at least above average by NFL standards then we can line him up in the backfield, in the slot, split out wide and of course, in the Wildcat.

I think Hill is vastly underrated - which is quite amusing because he always wrecks us. He's a hell of an athlete.

If King succeeds here he's going to do so as a short yardage QB.

Unless one of these guys steps up our running backs look pretty terrible.

This is one area I think that is not getting enough exposure in the midst of all the optimism. I like Chuba a great deal from a personal standpoint but he has largely proven nothing on a consistent basis yet. He's had the one season of production but before that most people pegged us as moving on. And last year injuries or not he just did not have that juice. The rest of the guys are completely unproven. I don't see anyone among the group having a game or a handful of games worth of high level production the way Rico Dowdle did last year. And yeah he dropped off and yeah he got an attitude about our incompetent handling of the touches which was honestly justified on his part and he moved on but he did legitimately save our season. That's what it is going to take to seize control of the NFC South. We all know that we will not be passing all over defenses. It is what it is. So who amongst this RB group is capable of doing that? And if we are struggling to run the ball AND pass are we going to revert to making excuses for our coach and QB again? That is definitely getting old.

Yep. I was hoping for and calling for a day three guy. But I didn’t research the position to say if we should or should‘t have jumped at a particular guy at a particular spot.

And everything I read said it was a poor draft for RBs depth wise. I guess when Seattle takes a backup RB in the 1st, that kind of backs that up.

I definitely think we should keep 4 running backs and if King can play well enough then keep him too.

I believe I heard Canales say we are a running team (talking about drafting a WR he will be needing to block as well as catch). Well if we are gonna be a running team by identity we don’t need to stock the WR room to overflowing. If one room has to sacrifice, it should not be the RB room given our circumstances.
