Bryce Young 5th year option exercised

Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young.

Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.

Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.

In 2025 Sam Darnold had over 1k more passing yards than Bryce Young on 1 less pass attempt. Repeat that to yourself several times and let it sink in.

I absolutely love it when people come on here and invoke Sam Darnold like some gotcha. Darnold is the physical prototype for what anyone needs in a franchise QB. All the physical tools. Few people thought he would put it all together on the mental side of the position. He used to make some of the worst decisions you would ever see. At times in the past he made up for that with absurd throws and athleticism. But make no mistake whatsoever no matter how you feel about our starting QB. Bryce Young is a completely opposite conundrum. He lacks virtually any and all physical tools and athleticism and his elite processing is really mediocre at best on a good day and horrific on a bad day. These are realities people should have already been addressing instead of quadrupling down in year four.

Do you think his mechanics and footwork have changed at all from his rookie season to now?

That’s similar as saying MVP Cam is the same as rookie Cam because his mechanics didn’t change. We’re talking about production.

If we are talking strictly production Bryce Young is so far down the totem pole he moves the ball at a historically low rate. You'll only find a handful of QB's over the last half century who moved the ball less.

Bryce Young is at 6 yards per attempt for his career which is only higher than:

Frank Tripucka - 5.9

Kyle Boller - 5.9

Rick Mirer - 5.9

Mike Phipps - 5.8

Joey Harrington - 5.8

Now do Pickett and Wilson and trey lance

winning franchises such as the Pittsburgh Stellers & San Fransico 49ers are very good at strategic roster building &  understand how critical it is to never be caught in a trap of focing development year after year onto a player just because of where he was drafted.

& it happens alot in these losing franchises where they will do the complete opposite of a winning franchise  & continually year after year foce development onto a player just because of where he was drafted

...just saying good grief

The great thing is that the same group of complainers get to keep doing so for at least 2 more years while Bryce goes out and leads the team on Sundays. I, for one, am pumped about that.

This illustrates a big difference between the two factions. The Bryce critics talk about Bryce, but the stans talk about the Bryce critics.

Labelling me a stan because I don't care for the pointless whining and complaining is certainly a choice.

yeah i am really stoked right now we have 5' 8" 180 lb Qb. who threw for 54 yards last season on 24 pass attempts & broke almost a 50 year old record for fewest passing yards in a game .& then barely for the first time in his carrer threw for 3k yards behind the most expensive oLine in the NFL w/ the ROTY at WR & the only team in the NFL w ×2 1k yard RB's from 24 & with all that we did not even have a top 20 offense ?

sounds like the next MVP ...just saying

You apparently like Bad QBs.

No I dislike pointless complaining. The team sees something in Bryce, he's going to play, and that's that. All of your intellectual reasonings as to why that doesn't make sense, don't matter. He's going to play.

Well I'm sure complaining about it will change the fact, so keep at it chief.
