Varying degrees all around but it starts at the top. That is where the buck stops. It has been 8 years of stupid, long before Morgan came back. Or Tillis was hired.

Made it to the top of stupid mountain in 2023. Stayed in stupid limbo for a while, now we are prepping to scale the next mountain.

In this case, I like those guys’ roster building better than what we have had so I am okay with them as our current pawns in the game of Bryce.

Not sure what the 2nd part means. You agree that Morgan is building a good roster,  but speculate that they have no intention of signing or developing a top 10 QB at any point?

think these smaller Qb's are going to have a much harder time convincing an NFL team to draft them. not saying a smaller Qb under 6 feet tall will not make an NFL roster .it will most likely be a UDFA contract more or less prove it deal.NFL teams have been burnt time & time again investing in these small NFL Qbs & i think  teams are now finally starting to realize that investing in these smaller Qb's under 6 feet tall is simply a bad idea  ...just saying

I guess I should have stipulated outside the sacred cow.
 

I complained from year one that Bryce should compete for and win the starting job on his own merit but no he was just handed it.

I have been right there with everyone that wants competition. 

But I don’t really have a huge problem with it for this season the way it has gone because where are the viable people we don’t have to trade for? I actually am okay with tiny hands Pickett because he is so close to Bryce arm strength wise and to be honest, skill wise. Probably. And it is only a one year deal. 

That also takes into account that the QB class is looking stacked next year and if Young fails miserably then we get either a reset or a real competition and there will be more guys that I would like looking at in the FA QB class next year as well. 
 

I sort of accept where we are this year and look at it as another treading water year (at QB). I just want to get to next year with some clarity. More than anything. And they did empty out the room (behind him anyway). Again, who was really there for us?  And I know it would not be a true competition at this point anyway. They are giving him the year, like it or not. 
 

Also I don’t give a poo about winning games IF he sucks and or goes down after sucking because draft position and that stacked QB class.  And I want out from under him So Bad.  
 

So I guess it is several factors that lessen my anxiety over his backup this particular season. 
 

I am not trying to convince anyone, but you asked. That’s how I look at it.

i am sure Bryce Young did not help Diego Pavia's chances of being drafted .these really short Qb's like Bryce Young & Diego Pavia who are both 5'10" or shorter have never made good NFL Qb's 

& Bryce Young is not only very short but he is also very small .it is still very hard to believe that a player his size was even drafted to begin with much less #1 overall 

like i said earlier i think NFL teams are finally starting to understand the risk associated with drafting these very short Qb's ...just saying

lol there’s a lot of reasons he didn’t get drafted.

But specifically he had to go somewhere like Baltimore as an udfa because you absolutely cannot let him near a team with anything less than a carved in stone qb situation. Pavia would absolutely rip a locker room apart if he’s not starting above someone he’s better than  

if you follow your SEC goss the main thing you heard about him is that his team mates LOVED him and would have run through wall for him. He’s just got it. And he knows it. 

Hes got at least as good a physical tool set at Bryce. Canales has a credibility problem in general, to say nothing about religious baggage.

Can you imagine if the whole team saw Pavia showing up first at the facility, hung over from banging strippers all night, covered in glitter, outperforming Bryce in practice, actually being willing to take a hit, not being a weird little closeted psychiatrists kid, and still not starting?
