Seriously?!?!

First SNF game of the year and it's two teams that didn't make the playoffs last year?

I thought they always made that Week 1 SNF game a banger with two great teams from the previous season.

EDIT:  Just looked, last year was Bills-Ravens, previous season was Lions-Rams, Giants-Cowboys ironically before that (but both coming off the playoffs).  From what I can tell, this will be the first time since 2020 that SNF's week 1 game isn't 2 teams from the playoffs the year before, and the Cowboys were in that one too, against the Rams who also didn't make it the year before.

Panthers predictions:

-Start regular season on road

-Conclude regular season on road

-terrible bye week

-division rival gets minibye before important late season matchup with us

-face an extensive number of teams coming off their bye week

-trash falcons and garbage saints still get multiple prime time appearances, we maybe get one

Guessing the Seahawks Wed 9.9 game has a few intriguing options. The 49ers and Rams are out since they play the next night and the Cowboys/Giants play Sunday. Maybe Chicago for the young team on the rise or Chiefs/Pats for the AFC juggurnauts.

I'll plant my flag on us opening at home vs. the Bucs.

Is it though?

Yes, those teams have two of the bigger fan bases out there, but SNF, MNF, etc viewership numbers aren't driven by fans of those teams as much as they're driven by general NFL fans tuning in because it's a good matchup.

Nah, we're over with the league now. Like the new LA Knight.

It's either the Bucs week 1 or we get a challenge with the other conference opponent. I can't remember what division we're playing either afc north or south. If it's the North, don't be surprised if its the Bengals. South could be the Colts.
