One thing about this game I haven’t seen people discuss is how it must be confidence building for Andersen. Both goals by the Habs were quality, but he made some good stops too. 
Maybe Freddie won’t turn into a pumpkin after all.

I get the first goal counts, but … but for the puck deflecting off Nikishin’s skate, Freddie makes that save.

Not only for Andersen but the whole team, having not beat the Habs this season before tonite.  Shows them that they aren't jinxed.

Aho in career playoffs, not including this season: 89 games- 34G/51A (85 points) +23.

Aho in 2026 playoffs: 10 games- 3G/2A (5 points) -1.

While montreal is in good shape coming out tied 1-1, I think the mental pressure is back on them now.  If the Canes win game 3 it’s a massive momentum swing in the series.
