I think you can just buy tickets these days. I know in 2008, the public was invited and I'm pretty sure that's still the case. It happens in early January every year in Vegas, so, if your serious, you have time to make your plans.

I have to admit, it's worth it for the story to tell, but you might end up kind of bored. I mean, it is an award show after all. And unless you're down on the floor with the porn folks (fans are usually up in the stadium style seats), they're ain't much going.

Just to give you an idea of how bored I got with it, last time I was there to cover the awards show and the expo for a magazine, I didn't even go to the awards show and just sent my photographer to the red carpet.

Kinda sorta.

I say that meaning that there are a lot of self-identified "straight" men who have done gay porn, and that's usually because A) the money is better and B) you don't necessarily have to be able to "perform" as it were, to work on a gay flick. In some scenes you're just expected to, *ahem* take it.

Also notice I used the term self-identified.

Though, I have a hard time believing there are that many, truly gay-for-pay people working in the business. I'm sorry, but if you have sex with another man, even if you are only doing it for money or some such, you are at least bisexual.

For the record, I don't make judgements about people based on their sexuality. A person's sexual preferences, unless those interests include something self-destructive or harmful, is not a reliable indicator of their character. I do find it funny though when guys who screw around with other guys claim to be straight. I mean, who are they trying to convince here?

This is a rather different situation of course.
