Supermassive black holes lurk at the centre of almost every galaxy, weighing billions of times more than our Sun - and Nasa has just caught sight of one ‘feeding’ on a star. A red giant star that wandered too close to the centre of a galaxy 2.7 billion light years away was pulled in by the enormous gravity of the black hole - and shredded.

This is one of the few internet gems I've managed to avoid over the years.  I've never googled it  and never will.

I feel like it's something everyone needs to see once in their life.. Just so they can go "oh wow, this exists?"

My spidey sense immediately started tingling when the image told me to Google something. I don't know what will happen if I Google "Blue Waffles," but somehow I am confident that I'm better off not knowing.
