Super Bowl Xlvii Mock Draft

After a lot of research...... here is my mock Draft....

goodell-draft-nfl.jpg

With the 9th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft the Carolina Panthers Select....

Kentucky-LSU-Football_Moye1.jpg

Michael Brockers: DT 6'6 322 pounds

After watching video he like Still, Cox, Poe and even Coples is always double teamed, and never gets knocked down, and when single teamed is unstoppable. He can also play anywhere on the line.... would right more but there are entire threads dedicated to him... Watch the Mississippi State, and Georgia video on youtube he's got better tape then the other 4 prospects mentioned just less numbers. The Problem is....

Cox-Fletcher-1.jpg

This guys pretty good too! Either one I'd be cool with, but I think Brockers will be the best player down the road.

2nd Round Pick.....

ncf_u_jenkins_ps_600.jpg

Janoris Jenkins: CB/KR 5'10 194 Pounds

Great speed, has covered the best receivers in college football. returned three kicks for touchdowns last year. Has Stats to back up hype. Great Senior bowl. Great backpedal and fluid hips. Caracter concerns blah blah blah.... he probably wont be here and if that happens we can still go for Tru, Josh Robinson, or Jayron or pass rusher .

4th Round Pick

Keenan Robinosn: ILB/OLB 6'3 242 Pounds

Robinson has a frame he can grow into. Long arms, 4.69 speed, 27 bench, 35.5 inch vertical he can be a great back up or rotational player for us. Im liking the idea of a comity at positions like we have at running back. Situational and rotational tansfer of player keeps TD, Anderson and Beason healthy while developing young players. He could also help us on special teams. Nigel Bradham is another option here although he's not as instinctive he is a hard hitter and productive.

5th Round Pick

akiem-hicks.jpg

Akiem Hicks: DT/DE 6'5 318 Pounds

If Brockers and and Cox had a baby it would be Hicks. 5.23 40, 26 reps, 31.5 inch vertical (higher than Cox and Brockers), Productive around lesser talent 10sacks in 2011 (unlike Dontari Poe). Plays primarily DE and could develop into UT or NT depending on who we pick in the first. Could play 5 or 3 technique right off the bat. Great hand play already a better player than Fua and McClain.

6th Round

0f9cc77565662b8a11e75bbd696b58925.jpg

Danny Coale: WR/Punter 6'0 200 Pounds

Here is your draft steal. Would work well in Air Coryell offense. We have big red Zone targets with Olsen, and LaFell. Down the field threats Smith Gettis. And now a route running, intermediate route threat We get a punter (averaging 43.5 yards per punt) a Wes Welker like slot receiver (904 yards his senior season) and a leader. He ran a 4.37 at his pro day. Smart kid who happens to have amazing hands and concentration (Watch the VT vs Michigan game catch), and is 3 inches taller than Welker.

6th Round

889197831.jpg

Drew Butler: Punter 6'2 214 Pounds

If he's still on the board we take him. His dad played with RR so he has some ties with us. 45.4 carrer avaerage is excellent tied for 5th NCAA all time. If he's gone we go offensive line depth

7th Round

vddxtw3ewrmc0hlp.jpg

Josue Ortiz: DE/OLB 6'4 260 Pounds

Just found out about this guy from a post by BEASTfromdaEAST.....

"4.73 40 yrd dash.........FASTER than Coples & Ingram

38 1/2 vert. jump.........WHOA! Same as Nick Perry

7.19 3-cone drill..........Respectful

4.37 shuttle...........Not bad

31 reps.............Strong

The guy isn't being looked at by many teams but with the 2 6ths and a 7th we have i mean the guy is definition of low risk HIGH Reward. He has the measurables you want Big, Fast, Quick, High Motor & Smart. You line this kid up on the end or in the middle on passing downs and tell him to go get the QB........he's getting there"

What do you Guys Think?

I was so confused watching VT and that Coale kid this year. This dude named Coale would go out to punt and he'd also be out there for punt returns and I just got so confused to see if it was the same player and it was. He truly is a utility player kinda like Cobb was with Kentucky.

And he was robbed vs Michigan. VT should have won that game.

    • He's handing off play calling duties to fuging Brad Idzik as well so, either that mouth breather can run the playbook and Canales can grow as an all around head coach or it will be a horrible decision and both of them and BY can screw off. I'm fine with that as long as it isn't just another excuse for BY to get another year with another coach worthy of working around his limitations as a qb.
    • Not only for Andersen but the whole team, having not beat the Habs this season before tonite.  Shows them that they aren't jinxed.
    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
