I think that's the Bottomless Pools @ Lake Lure. Used to be private owned but is now part of Chimney Rock State Park. It was closed for a while and I'm not sure if the state has opened them back up yet.

I could be wrong since it's been a loooong time since I've been there.

All that I can find says that they are still closed due to the death of the owner....and that it is still in the courts.

Yeah I think it is the bottomless pools. I never heard why it was closed but I haven't been there in years.
