  1. 1. Did you agree with the play call to go for it on 4th down?

I was screaming for him to go for it. If we got that close I figured we should go for it, I felt that settling for 3 could really hurt us in the long run. But as the game went on, that FG could have put us up at 11 points instead of leading by 8, which couldve been disastrous for us.

What do yall think....

Yea, definitely should have gone for it, but it should have been a QB sneak or at least a FB plunge with Tolbert. Something quick up the middle like that rarely goes for negative yards, those plays to the outside are risky and should be used when a negative result won't have as much of an impact (i.e. not on 4th down).

I understood the decision to go for it on 4th down eventhough I didn't agree with the playcall. But, it was 4th and inches and we should've been able to get it. The real question is: Can your team continue to be competitve enough for the remainder of the game if you don't convert?

Personally, I would've kicked the FG. It's 4th down because we were stopped short of getting the 1st. We have enough time to return so I know we'll be back. I'll take my points now and not only increase my lead, but build confidence by getting something for my efforts. I guess that I'm just a little more conservative...

    • Bryce just didn't maximize Hunter Renfrow's skills. ***rant incoming*** But this isn't just about Bryce Young mistiming passes to Renfrow so bad that he's going to get Renfrow killed or hurt, this is also about incompetentence by Dave Canales. Renfrow can still play. He's putting DBs in a blender out there---making them play twister at the top of routes to keep up with him, and dumb Dave has the nerve to cut him. How about putting Hunter in the best position to help the damned offense by appreciating his skill set, DC? You're letting Bryce's apparent inability to make an accurate throw, or at least his timidity to push the ball down the damned field cloud your judgment and miscalculate talent---or maybe just miss on talent just as much as Bryce misses passes due to playing pussified football. It's fúcking unacceptable.  Speaking of misjudgment, I don't know if it's Dan Morgan or Canales, but Eijiro Evero is not the business at DC. I have said a few times that his scheme is not conducive to run-stopping efficiency. Hell, and after watching some clips of plays, now I absolutely know why. The gaps are at least half open before the play even fúcking starts. You are setting the opposition's RBs up for success with too much damned space at the line and in the second level. If our guys are taken out in these areas---at the line and in the second level---then the defense is screwed because it must rely on the safeties to cover too much ground to make the tackle. At least put Ransom in who is motivated to seek and destroy if you're going to effectively leave the safeties on an island.  And speaking of rookies, get our two new defensive ends more snaps to see if we can't generate more of a pass rush. For all the good the continued sorry display of defense that you're putting out for fan's to see (Ejiro, Dave and Dan), you may as well get the rookies generously involved. Fúck that money we gave second-rate (maybe second-rate) vets, we need a damned spark getting after the QB. Watch it, it's just another breakdown of the sh¡t we were subjected to last week. I say this with all respect: Fúck you, Dave! Fúck you, Dan! Learn how to run a fúcking franchise. Maximize the players, regardless of what you think you're supposed to do by the book. Cut the dead weight before another season is lost and fans lose interest in September. EE is "Ew!" Or for emphasis "EEw!" /end rant
    • But nobody is saying he is a good deep ball passer.  But the facts are since he's returned from his benching, he has been throwing downfield.  Whether you want to credit the scheme, Bryce himself, or whatever, he has been pushing it deep.  Not to any positive results mind you, but it has been happening.
