Beason Placed On IR

He isn't close to the player he was. Sucks but its true. Loyalty to players who can't perform has hurt this franchise.

That injury takes awhile to come back from; he was always going to be Beason-lite this year. Problem now is he has to come back next year healing from new problems.

Prediction on the off season:

1. New GM is hired and likely a new coaching staff.

2. New GM/Coach: "Jon, we'd love to have you back on the team. But this contract isn't feasible for us. We need u to take a pay cut......oh by the way, Luke is the MLB of the future here."

3. Beason: " I'm not gonna take a pay cut to play a position I don't want to play."

4. New GM: "welll Jon, it's been real."

I didn't expect this...Hope Beason gets back to 100%, our defense would have a very serious LB rotation. In addition, it still blows my mind how so many Huddlers want to cut or trade our best players.

There is some reason to it. Look how quickly the old guys have turned on Rivera and co supposedly. It happens in a lot of business when new management takes over. You either buy into what the boss is selling or you are replaced by someone that does. Everyone needs to be on the same page and it seems like the locker room is a little split at the moment.

If we are truly rebuilding, tough cuts/trades are coming and it maybe a long process before we are winning consistently.

And you're suggesting that we rebuild by cutting/trading our best players. That wouldn't be my method. I'd prefer to build on what we have. Getting a dominant WR to compliment Smith, getting a dominant CB to compliment Gamble, getting a dominant S to play S. I'll call it restructing, not rebuilding...

No it's not my suggestion. I just can understand why it is brought up so much. Guess it depends who on the team is there for a paycheck and who is there to win. Seems to be a lot of talk of players that have accepted the it's okay to get paid and lose mentality. Those players need to go. Whoever they maybe.

I don't think Beason is one of them. However, I do think Luke should stay at MLB.
