It's the opposite of short sighted. Biden winning accomplishes nothing. The DNC being forced to listen to the public interest, rather than their rich donors, would be a huge shift.
Anyone that supports Biden is actively pushing us away from M4A and other policies to help our working class, and further cementing our billionaires stranglehold on US politics.
The Democratic party needs to either change, or die off completely. None of this "let's support their shtty establishment candidate and hope they change on their own sometime in the future". That is NEVER going to happen. The DNC will keep propping up corporate establishment goons until voters demand better.
Love mail in voting, but it took decades to fully implement in Washington State. Not to say it couldn't be implemented more quickly than that, but doing it with only months to go while republican actively oppose it doesn't inspire much hope.
Agree on the rest of the post. Republicans are going to push for a return to normalcy ASAP. Chances are the economy will be on the rebound by early November. It might not last, there may be a second wave, but it won't matter, Republicans will press forward come hell or high water.
Biden's problem is that he has no credibility. Pandering to the left won't likely result in the increased numbers he needs to pull off this election. There aren't that many "Never Trump Republicans", so centrist dems are going have to turn out in record numbers for Joe. Low enthusiasm Biden better hope for good weather and nothing worth watching on TV come election day.
