Her going to a coal mine is the worst possible idea. They will eat her alive over the GND right now. That isn’t her social media safe spot or socialist bubble. Personally, I’d like to hear/see it. It’s the same thing as Hillary going there telling them she’s going to put them all out of a job.

“Establishment” Dems actually consistently go to heavy industries such as coal mining more than anyone including republicans. Remember, Republicans are for the owners. The 1%. Not the working man.

Sorry but you're not using logic and reason, you're arguing your case with emotion. You have to look at statistics and facts, and they point to black people being just as racist, and sadly more violent for whatever reason...

I believe that each individual person should be judged by their character. But sadly the violent thug minority helps to give their race a negative violent stereotype, there really needs to be some strong leaders in the inner city communities that step up and help to bring about positive change. It's sad when you can't feel as safe and need to keep your gaurd up in places like Detroit, Baltimore, St. Louis, Chicago, etc. As opposed to somewhere like Billings Montana. That's just common sense thinking.

Many of these stories aren't covered widely by the mainstream fake news media, you better believe if the races were reversed there would be WIDE spread coverage.

A few examples:

The statistics show that the 500 killings of white people attributed to blacks last year were the most since black perpetrators were determined to be responsible for the homicides of 504 white people nationwide in 2008. Last year's total was up 12 percent from the 446 recorded in 2014 and 22 percent from the 409 seen in 2013, a year that saw the lowest total this century and one that capped seven years of general declines in black-on-white homicides. Prior to that, 2006 saw the most black-on-white killings since 2001, with 573.

The 229 black lives taken by white killers last year, however, marked an even larger leap from 2014, jumping more than 22 percent from the 187 black victims killed by whites that year, which was the second-lowest total since 2001. The tally was last exceeded in 2008, when 230 blacks were slain by whites. The highest total in the last 15 years came in 2007, when 245 black people were killed by whites.

It's a disparity that becomes more pronounced in the context of population, as 2015 Census estimates suggest that whites account for 77.1 percent of the overall U.S. population of roughly 321 million, while blacks comprise 13.3 percent.

I was reminded today of a truly horrible report issued in 2001 by Human Rights Watch. It deals with the subject of rape in US prisons. It is deeply shocking.

From Hard Time:

There are probably more men than women raped in the United States every year—most of them in prison. Best estimates put the annual number of prison rapes at about 140,000, which is 50,000 more than the 90,000 or so rapes of women reported to police. Gang rape of the most brutal kind is common, and weaker prisoners often seek protection from a “daddy” who fights off other predators in exchange for total submission and sex on demand. There is an ugly racial dimension to prison rape: Blacks and Mexicans deliberately seek out white victims, and black-on-white rape is probably more common than any other kind. Prison rape is an appalling secret in a country that prides itself on human rights.

Channon Gail Christian, 21, and Hugh Christopher Newsom, Jr., 23, were from Knoxville, Tennessee. They were kidnappedthe evening of January 6, 2007 when Christian's vehicle was carjacked, and taken to a rental house, where both of them were raped, tortured, and murdered.[1][2] Four males and one female were arrested and charged in the case. The grand jury indicted four of the suspects on counts of capital murder, robbery, kidnapping, rape, and theft, while a fifth was indicted on federal charges of carjacking.

An August 2013, Sentencing Project report on Racial Disparities in the United States Criminal Justice System, submitted to the United Nations, found that "one of every three black American males born today can expect to go to prison in his lifetime"

Baltimore descended into chaos Monday with widespread rioting, arson and looting, just hours after the funeral of Freddie Gray, prompting Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan to declare a state of emergency at the request of the city's mayor.

Rawlings-Blake called the violent looters "thugs." She said there was a difference between the peaceful protesters of days past and "the thugs who only want to incite violence and destroy our city.

"I'm a life-long resident of Baltimore... Too many people have spent generations building up this city for it to be destroyed by thugs, who in a very senseless way are trying to tear down what so many have fought for," Rawlings-Blake said. " Tearing down business, tearing down or destroying property. Things that we know will impact our community for years."

"It is idiotic to think that by destroying your city you're going you're going to make life better for anybody."

Intelligent black man that uses wisdom...

For a half century or more, black people have labored under the spell of what Jesse Lee Peterson calls the “alchemists.” These are the race hustlers, media hacks, politicians, community organizers and the like who promise to “fundamentally transform” America. The transformation they promise, however, produces only fool’s gold―unearned benefits like welfare, food stamps, subsidized housing, payouts from lawsuits, and maybe one day even reparations. Worse, to secure these counterfeit goods, recipients have to sacrifice something of infinite value: the sanctity of the two-parent family. It is a devil’s bargain.

To make this experiment work, the alchemists have created an ungodly and unhealthy environment, one in which the white population is made to feel guilty and the black population made to feel angry. The pattern in this is simple: children―black or white―when deprived of fathers, grow up angry at their parents. White children displace their anger in a thousand different directions. Black children channel theirs, for the most part, in a single destructive direction―towards and against white people. The alchemists encourage them to do this, enable them, and even reward them. This anger fuels the system and pays the alchemists’ bills.

As bleak as this all sounds, an antidote exists, which saved Peterson’s life, that of his son, and those of countless young men who have been counseled at Peterson’s organization, BOND.

The perverse genius of liberalism has been its ability to capture black anger and project it outwards towards anyone, black or white, who resists the Democratic agenda. By encouraging a resentful dependency, liberals have instituted a new kind of slavery in the black community as emotionally shackling as the physical slavery that first brought Africans to America.

Peterson knows this story from the inside as few other people do. Born on an Alabama plantation, he was abandoned by his father before he was born. After high school, Peterson moved to Los Angeles and for the next twenty years moved purposelessly through life, channeling his internal anger outwards towards white people and America in general.

In the mission he has undertaken since, and in this hopeful book, Peterson shares what he learned on his personal road to Damascus.

Ugh. You are so  infuriatingly dim witted. The post you literally just quoted said I had a problem with the POINT. Not the argument. PSC is smarter than using a dumb point like that to counter racist arguments.

Its very sad and telling you had to go back two years to try to find a post after claiming I was racist and you couldn’t even do that. Stop quoting me if you are going to continue to lie and gas light.

AOC would likely do quite well, just like Senator Sanders has on more than one occasion.

Working Americans have largely been abandoned by establishment pols.  That is why the corporate dems lost over 1000 seats between 2010 and 2016.  That is why traditional blue states turned red during the 2016 presidential election.

Meanwhile...

Quote

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) held a town hall-style meeting in West Virginia Sunday to address critical issues affecting the state.

Sanders originally visited the county during his bid to be the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, and he beat his rival Hillary Clinton in all 55 counties in the state in the primary.

But President Trump won both McDowell County and West Virginia entirely in November.

Sanders and the panel also addressed small coal mining economies and increasing unemployment on Sunday.

Taking on Trumpcare

Sanders reiterated his message from last week, when the GOP's Obamacare "replacement" plan was first unveiled.

"The Republican bill, it should not be seen as a health care bill, because throwing millions of people off of health care [is not] health care legislation," Sanders explained. "What it should be seen as is a huge tax break for the wealthiest people in this country."

West Virginia voted Republican for nearly two decades. But Sanders' message could turn the state blue again. After all, President Obama won McDowell County in 2008 by over 10 percent. And Sanders won all 55 of the state's counties in the primary.

Working-Class Heroes

Sanders wants to make sure America's coal country "heroes" get the pensions they deserve, an issue highlighted in a Van Jones "Messy Truth" segment last week.

"Right now, there are tens of thousands of coal miners who were promised health care when they retired. [Their] families were promised pensions, and you got a Congress including [Republican] Senator McConnell from the coal state of Kentucky, who is holding up legislation to make sure these families have the health care and the pensions that they were promised," Sanders noted. "So if you think about all of the miners who suffered and died from black lung disease and all the other injuries… I would say that as a nation, we owe these folks a great deal."

Debunking Trump's Coal Lie

No one in the audience, not even Trump voters, believed the president would bring back the jobs he promised.

"I don't think he can," state delegate Ed Evans finally said of Trump.

"Let me just stop you right there," interjected moderator Chris Hayes. "Does the room agree with that?"

The response was virtually unanimous.

Sanders' Senate Record

The Vermont senator got a big shout-out from a retired miner in the audience Monday night.

"I never dreamt that I'd get to thank you personally for the bill that you are co-sponsoring," he told Sanders of Senate Bill 175. "I'm one of those miners that will lose his health care at the end of April if they don't pass that law. I think it's kind of ironic that a senator from the northeast takes care of my benefits better than someone like Mitch McConnell," he added.

Preventing Future Crisis

At the end of the night, Sanders spoke one on one with Paula Swearengin, a resident of Beckley, WV.

Swearengin advocates for environmental rights, urging lawmakers to protect drinking water in the Ohio Valley.

"We need help," she told Sanders.

"I don't want to overpromise you," he said as they hugged.
