Sorry, I fully expect a warning from the mods.

His only qualification to even talk about football, let alone be an owner, let alone being a hands-on owner is he is the son of Paul Brown.  If his name was Mike Green, he'd be limited to making inane comments on this board to get us shaking our heads.

I'm not totally confident he could even manage that.

Possible name to remember for the future...

Interesting,  I watched every SF game this season and they were trotting out 3rd & 4th string guys and having some success with them.

I'm still shocked that a guy who got fired from Texas Tech immediately landed an NFL HC gig. Mind blowing.

Q: AZ Cardinals primary reason for existing?

A: To make other teams look like geniuses.

The Chicago Tribune reports the Bears are "keenly interested" in ex-Colts coach Chuck Pagano for their defensive coordinator vacancy.

Beat writer Brad Biggs also reports the team is considering promoting DBs coach Ed Donatell, whose contract is up. Donatell is considered likely to follow Vic Fangio to Denver if he doesn't get the upgrade in Chicago. Pagano has earned looks from everything to head coach to DBs coach this offseason.

Baltimore shuffle: Looks like the Ravens are dumping OC Marty Mornhinweg and replacing him with tight ends coach Greg Roman.

Well as strange as this may sound, it looks like the Bengals are actually doing something smart.

Not only are they not offering Hue Jackson to head coaching job. They're actually dumping him from the staff entirely.

Jackson was brought on as "special assistant to the head coach" by Marvin Lewis shortly after he was fired in Cleveland. Now he has the dubious distinction of being fired twice in a matter of just a few months.

Also, although nothing is official in either place, it looks like the Dolphins are going with Patriots LB coach Brian Flores as their new head man, while the Bengals seem to have settled on Rams QB coach Zac Taylor.

I’ll admit I liked everything I heard about Flores. But what else is new from a BB pupil. They always look like perfect candidates.

Best thing about Taylor, for now, is he’s not Hue Jackson.
