T. J McDonald vet safety released

Recommended Posts

Don’t know anything about him but looks like he had a good year last year. New coaching staff chooses to save some $. Worth a look but I wouldn’t bet on it having already signed Tre...

Apparently signing Boston hasn't curbed the safety talk all that much.

Prob cause he isn't all that good.  Just better than the alternatives.

Who could forget this?

Seem to remember he and Cam jawing A LOT that game, McDonald dropping an INT IIRC, etc.  He's a decent player and this is just part of the Dolphins tank, though.

Anyone released by another team is wanted here.  It's a Huddle thing.

I told y’all the angles he takes are maddening.  But the huddle wanted good ole Tre.

He hasn’t disappointed this offseason. Has fuged up every game that he has played with terrible angles to the ball carrier.

Look behind Boston and Reid. Our depth is still ugly. A recently converted CB coming off of a bad leg break and a career special teamer.

I really think y'all should quit putting this poo on here because looks like Ron gets on the huddle. Everyone talked Tre Boston's sorry ass up on here and now everyone is still complaining. We have like 2 or 3 new threads everyday wanting more safeties. Guess what it ain't happening. Get ready for a 8-8 or 9-7 season. We are not ready for the playoffs sorry buts it's true!

Didn't the article say he was released  due to an injury? Did I miss something? And if that is the case, why would we pick him up?

He is 28, fwiw.  I like it.  Get him for a low price so Miami has to assume part of the salary?

Probably because Boston is clearly a free safety and McDonald is a strong safety. He would back up Reid.

    • Agree in part. Some guys are clutch in that situation. Other guys are clutch in that they don't often get themselves into that situation. Take Elway. Everybody remembers him for his last minute comebacks, but the reason they needed so many of those is because they were losing late in the game. On the flipside, you've got a guy like Brady. He's certainly capable of leading a 4th quarter comeback, but generally isn't in a position to need one. I kinda like the second approach better, but yeah the first one is necessary sometimes.
    • I think you're not thinking outside the box. Ramsey playing arguably the third or fourth most important position in football Garnered 2 first rounders.  Like it or not Cam is and will always be a franchise QB. That Trumps any injury. Which his, as of now, have been taken care of. The market value for Cam would be as good if not better than Ramsey's. It's not even a fantasy, people are over paying for average QBs. Cam is not average and to be honest in a league of his own.  No I don't want to trade Cam. But if it done then so be it. I just hope it's not for just one first round pick. That would be a bit foolish.
    • Is Allen a good QB? Yes. Does he need a Top 10 D and CMAC to be a good QB? Yes.   I’ll be the first to say that I’ve shitposted in many a Saca thread, but this thread is damn good content. Cheers.
