Season over after 2 games ?

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to stay optimistic. I dont think so, but we need to make adjustments, obviously.

We started 0-2 in 2013. Then 1-3 thru week4. We lost to the 9ers in divisional game that year. Krapernick making the crucial 4th down td run for the win.

Our D got it together after first quarter of the season.

I may be in the minority, but we can turn this poo around with the talent we have. It all hinges on cam, the D, and ron/norv getting their poo together.

I like your optimism. We need a win against the Cardinals though.

The fantasy is over, not the season. Waiting for us to adapt is not exciting, it's not our strong point. Cam can still improve but he won't if he is being teed off on from bad oline play. The D looks ok and would improve with more O sucess and converting 3rd downs more often. I still think we could be a solid tondangerous team. Dont see a SB team. If Can doesn't improve, the year is sunk. We need to do anything possible to provide him with time and options to play better.

Of course not. It is historically likely though.

I am afraid that you are right. Lets hope for a quick turnaround. I believe we have the players to do it unless the coaches have lost the locker room after only two games.

Good take.

No, the season isn't over.

But let's be real. We look bad.

Agree, yes we do.

We're relying way too much on cmc, kind of like we did smitty back in the day. I'd like to see us use cmc as a decoy (of sorts) more, and also use the freaking beast of FB we have in short yardage.

I'm no offensive guru, but less predictability will equal Ws.

Depends on what happens to Cam and how long we wait to make a change if Cam doesn't get better. Honestly it looks like more than rust. He is all over the place with his throwing motion as is his accuracy. But it has been 8 games not 2. We are starting to mirror the definition of insanity.

    • Film analysis should be encouraged....if you have a basic understanding of concepts, coverages, routes and football in general. The original poster here does, I can tell you that. It’s absolutely not a waste of time. It’s a great education, going thru the process. It enhances the football experience for me—especially after a loss. It beats sitting around all week stewing over it.  My analysis isn’t always correct. In fact, I get a kick out of pointing out when it’s not. We make light of it on Twitter. Like when I railed on Butler all off-season, and now he’s playing at a high level. But every once in a while you get it right. That feels productive. Especially when it’s not just “guessing.”
    • Disposable income. Most folks who take their kids to these places are part of a middle class who's wages have been stagnant for so long, it's becoming increasingly difficult to afford life. The tax break? Any of that a middle class family might have saved was gone within a couple of weeks after Trump pulled out of TPP and started a trade war with China. Gas prices? Up $.40/gal since January. Consumer Price Index? Up 2.4% over last 12 months. Food inflation? Up 1.8% this year so far.
