In that LSU tape, he had an impact on way more plays than he didn't.  Brown is NOT a "space eater".  If that were the case, there's no way I would be in favor of him at #7.

LSU said “screw it” after the 1st quarter and held him(and others) the rest of the game.

LSU practically doubled and tripled teamed him all game .

Good game to watch.. 65 was holding his own against Brown.. But Brown moved around and changed up his attack..

7:15 of the 4th qtr is the best “move around” he does.  It he didn’t exercise well, so that doesn’t count.

And the clips are from games against the top OLs in CFB. And the GA game isn’t even posted and it may have been his best. Or Oregon. He threw a 335lb. Kindley around. Something that became an annual occurrence. Sacked Burrow with a RG.

Now, please don’t draft him.

I don't understand how anyone could possible want a CB after watching that atrocious run defense last year. I've been on the Brown train for a while, he should definitely be the pick at #7.

Brown is ideal

Would not be mad with Wirfs if he falls

Simmons is meh

I"m on the Simmons wagon. He would help this defense more than brown in my opinion. Just because of his versatility and range. Not a knock on Brown but I believe Simmons would be a better choice.

My issue is there's been more than enough hyped up "versatile" defensive guys over the years that end up being JOAT, masters of none. They give me pause BUT maybe Simmons is different.  I.E. ...Bark Mingo (6th overall), Leonary Floyd, (Pick 9), Aaron Curry (Pick 4), Alec Ogletree (30).  I see some talent but not guys that take over their respective teams.

If we get him, we have to let him roam and be himself.  Free roaming role where he's sliding into coverage, dropping back,  staying in the box, and attacking the QB.

I see him like a 80 tackle, 8 sack, multiple INTs type stats sheet consistently.   He also seems like a Blue Chip that DG will draft.

He's the type who will have a domino effect and make everyone's jobs easier.  He may not be stacking the stat sheets, but he's a leader, insane motor, and just a balanced cement truck you can plop in there for years to come.

Simmons is going to be dependent on the team that uses.  Used correctly he has the chance to be the most valuable defender on the field on any given Sunday.  If he is used just a traditional off ball linebacker, I'm not sure he is worth a top 5 pick.  If he is moved around to shut down the other teams playmakers, then he might help a team win as much as Chase Young.  If he helps you shut down the Travis Kelces of the world, he is worth the top pick.

Ooh the 5-2 idea with a safety that can play slot is super interesting with a Shaq-Simmons pairing.

That also is super appealing with having a guys like Burns, Miller & Haynes at DE where you can have 3 interior DL to generate pressure and fill the big gaps.

Snow runs a multiple 4-3, mixing over/under fronts with zone blitzing so I definitely see the appeal in adding Simmons and why  we should have no problem in keeping Burns to good effect.

That's at 1:10 of the LSU tape.

Picks up a grown-ass man and throws him into Burrow.

I reiterate Toomers fervent plea:  Please don't draft him.
