I never want to see anyone get fired, but...

I've always kind of wondered if Dan Quinn was genuinely that good or if "The Legion of Boom" just made him look a lot better than he really was.

I think Kyle Shanahan definitely covered for some of his coaching deficiencies.  Kind of like how Sean McDermott covered for Ron's.

I grew up as a Falcons fan and followed them throughout the 1970s, 80s and early 90s. I've seen some sucky coaching.

Quinn brought them to their highest point as a franchise and then plummeted to the depths of that team's history in a single championship game. Both are pretty incredible accomplishments, never having been to the big dance before and then posting the team's worst start of a season. Whew.

Yeah, he's gone. And somewhere Jerry Glanville is laughing his ass off.

I'm sad

What if they bring in a real coach

Hope they hire Bill O'Brien and pass up on guys like Bieniemy and Brady.

As long as they stay away from Brady, I’m good. They should look at Chip Kelly............ wouldn’t he be great there?

Didn’t he say “take a effing picture” when they won in 2015 ruin the perfect record? I’ve hated him ever since.

It's very rare to see a head coach dumped in favor of an assistant (I couldn't name a time it happened off the top of my head) but there are cases where hindsight makes it look like it would have been the right call.

And yeah, there's an argument to be made that we should have dumped Rivera in favor of McDermott. I'm okay with Matt Rhule for the moment though.
