Hold up, Im by far the worst at grammar and spelling. But if @micnificent28 still believes DB is a disappointing top ten draft picks, hes medically blind.

I don't think hes a disappointment as a player. Hes great at what they ask him to do and that's stop the run. For 2 downs he's golden.  I don't think you could ask for more. But, being taken top 7 I expect you to be a serious threat on passing downs as well as good at stoping the run. I have seen the 17 pressures statistic but looking at the games I'm Iike where are these 17 pressures coming from?

You see Burns pressures they show up every game. If you told me he had 50 qb pressures I would probably say maybe.... Brown although.. I dunno i guess another factor is what constitutes a pressure? Like if he wins his one on one and is within 7 steps away or what?

I mean personally I'm never at my phone when I'm responding and writing threads on here. Between auto correct and just trying to respond rapidly its bound to happen. Its not that serious.

I honestly do not care about about grammar or spelling, just aware I'm by faaar the worst one on this board. I mean we're on a football forum, not a grammar/spelling one. My struggle is like no other- I mix up went, when, where, were, adding "s"/"ly"/"te"/"ing"/"er"  through, though, thought, a, an, I, etc etc etc. Plus I read that way too, like if someone makes one of my normal mistakes, it looks fine to my eyes/brain. Fairly bad dyslexia too, with words, letters, and numbers. Like I type in the dark after huffing gold flake paint. I also hold the all-time record for breaking goggle via spellcheck. Ive seen " no matches found " more than anyone on earth.

Pressure is a judgement call type of stat. Teams have their own stats, PFF has their own, NFL the same etc. etc. I just feel you have to watch DB to order to understand. A pressure to some is making the QB adjust and unlike sacks it can lead to INTs. Another thing is a DB pressure can lead to a Burns sack. I mean sooo many times Ive seen a player come unblocked for a Sack, or a coverage sack, or player has a QB sacked and he breaks free for a different player to get the sack. Is that the same as beating a double-team for a sack on a 4th down 4 quarter play? You need to watch the play for who, what, when, why, how?. DB has been very impressive with his display of raw power for rookie, when most take two FULL years to show similar havoc. Thats my way of judging DLmen, havoc on each play and late game.

Besides did you see #3 overall jeffrey okudah, jesus that guy looks T-R-A-S-H!! Doesnt start or get many snaps, but when he doe= burnt toast. @Varking no judgement for rookies on my end, but your boy needs all the help. Hes not even playing to the level of a panther player with dreads, so bad...

Okudah is definitely not having a good year. Don’t know if it’s got something to do with their coach and that whole situation or just having normal rookie dB struggles.

Agreed with most of what you said. And yes okudah us definitely looking bad. But maybe with some guys it just takes a while.  Guys like Simmons, look like his light has been coming on the last few weeks. Nothing is written in stone and it can change any given week, right now im just going off what I think. I am by no means claiming to be the only answer.

It's fine you see Brown effecting the game the way you do. However, I just dont see it that way. Outside the running game. His immediate competition Kinlaw had a sack last week, not sure about this one. We're still waiting on that milestone.

I mean I hope we see that more but don't you think him not being in on a lot of passing downs is concerning? They seem to like efa and kerr there...

Of course they sub him out on obvious passing downs - he's a NT. You want your 'Nascar' package in on third downs - guys that don't have to worry about anything but rushing the passer. It's also an opportunity to give him a breather.

My take on Brown is that he's been exceptional this season - he'll make the All-Rookie team. He's your typical SEC 'War Daddy' DT that they throw all the bags at during the recruiting process. Rhule must be pinching himself looking at Brown - nobody like that walks through the door at Baylor or Temple.

He's a foundation piece for this defence and this franchise.

You prove my point exactly. I understand the need for a breather but a guy you draft at number 7 should not be a guy that NEEDS to come out on a Nascar package. That sounds like your a one dimensional player and they only want you to focus on stoping the run. And that is way expensive for the number 7 pick is all I'm saying. Not that Brown is bad. Because he is good at stoping the run and pluggin up lanes.

Corner is the hardest position to transition to from college. Kid will be a good corner.

Clogged up the middle and helped shut down one of the best run games in the NFL.  Reality is that the defense played very well for three quarters.

Yes he dominated the guy he was against all day. Was in Cousins grill all game long.

I don’t know how you can watch the game and not see how disruptive he was today. I tried to focus more on him today and he was incredibly impressive. Constantly blowing up the run game and also getting in Cousins face. Not much in the stat column, but I couldn’t care less.
