Opinions on who is at fault for Cam's departure??
MechaZain replied to WOW!!'s topic in Carolina Panthers
At the end of the day it's Tepper's call. If keeping Cam was important he would have made it a priority in his search for a coach. He brought in Rhule and Brady, who did not want to hitch their new wagon to broken goods by signing Cam to a big contract. Few alternatives in a market desperate for QBs so Brady jumped at the chance to bring in his guy. -
No matter how this goes I'm proud of the organization and Cam.

I have more confidence in Cam at the goaline than I do CMC -
Carolina Panthers agree to terms with Cam Newton.

They're neighbors. LaMelo's in Cam's old unit and Jordan has a floor to himself -
Where is this 'win now' mentality coming from?

Christian. They know we don't have long. -

You could see it when he went to NE or when they interview other players about him. They love him. He's influenced a new generation, his talent/potential brings an X factor to any roster, and if nothing else he seems like a fun personality to have on your team. He's an electric athelete while Sam unfortunately is JAG. Would have been hell if Carolina players openly criticized the cut but plenty of others did if I recall correctly. -
I don't care if we lose out the rest of the year tbh. Proud of the organization for swallowing their pride. Happy for Cam and this fanbase.

It's still super weird. This is seven months before he was released and no mention of the MVP QB who took us there.

His first poor performance as a Panther IIRC. You don't give up assets for a guy, give him the keys and then just pull the plug the first moment he fugs up. It's easy to say now because they did the smart thing and waited to get the full picture of him.

You can't convince me that this dude is a better prospect than both Cam and Kaepernick. Disappointing seeing the front office is openly blacklisting both, especially our guy.
-
I stand by it. Investing in a project then abandoning ship at the first bad performance is just stupid. Same sort of week-to-week tunnel vision that had yall trying to dump Cam for Kyle Allen.

Tepper: Stop the Stadium from Being Overran on a Constant Basis
MechaZain replied to Seltzer's topic in Carolina Panthers
Charlotte is a young team and a city full transplants, even when they're winning it's hard to combat the bigger fanbases. Hornets are a big ticket these days and I still heard MVP chants from Boston fans over my TV. -
Does anyone know if popular chants like Go Pack Go and and J-E-T-S are prompted or do they happen organically? There's definitely Cam erasure going on but I don't buy that Tepper is phasing out the slogan while still opening every home game with it. He's coming from a Steelers organization with a deep fan culture and he just bought a soccer team where crowd chants happen naturally by and large.
-
I feel like he was a joint decision. Rhule didn't have an OC in mind and Tepper could afford the hot commodity fresh off a national championship.
-
Not even a little bit.

It needs to be Fitterer's choice that's all I know
-
I'd expect Cam to say no but they need to at least make a public show out of trying to bring him back, if only for fans sake. I'd gain a lot of respect for Tepper and Rhule if they'd admit they messed up.

Smith chewed out Jake and Cam during games bro. And in their face not just walking by ranting.

If Sam's lost Robby the rest of the team has probably been done with him for awhile.
