  1. Slow down there Gettleman. Took us ten years to get the line in this state and you’re trying to blow it up. Fug a PFF.
  2. Madden 16 Cam and Luke were cheat codes. Cam was a better runner than Stew and regularly broke tackles. I pissed off a countless number of opponents
  3. If Bryce can consistently look like that he’s got it
  4. Eric Collins hyping up the Dolphins is breaking my brain
  5. It's not all on Bryce but he ain't helping
  6. You do that by showing him Bryce can’t do what’s being asked of him, not by calling dumb plays and being like “trust me bro.”
  7. Young’s bummy but if you can only work with a specific archetype of a QB you’re not a good coach and you definitely shouldn’t be calling plays. Felt the same way about Reich not even trying once he realized he didn’t have Andrew Luck to make him look good anymore.
  8. Y'all realize he'd have to sell two sports franchises to leave Charlotte right
  9. When he's out of the league the narrative will be that the Panthers failed him
  10. You would think but we're not even being creative about it. Chuba's actually doing well considering.
  11. Evero is a laughingstock and even if Bryce started cooking at this point Canales' gameplan doesn't really give him or us a chance. Why is the short game so damn bland if that's 80% of the playbook? We get it, his arm is limited, but there has to be some sort of path to victory here. Like what are we even trying to do?
  12. I want Young to succeed but the attempts to rewrite the narrative anytime he musters up a decent game, quarter, drive, etc are getting old. Need consistency first. His ceiling as far as we've seen so far is "not bad sometimes".
  13. Now that he's back in good graces with the organization we gotta take Smith's commentary on the team with a grain of salt. I don't believe the unfiltered Smitty of old would have defended this. But yeah Charlotte is a fairweather sports town. Every city has transplants; I think the pro teams just haven't been around long enough to build loyalty.
  14. Over or under 4.5 losses in a row before Canales drops the Mr. Nice Coach act?
  15. The escapism is really what's missing. I actually do think Bryce's awareness and ability to improvise on broken plays is above average--better than when he's throwing in the pocket because it forces the recievers to get seperation and within his line of sight. If he could scramble in the backfield like Seattle Russ until someone got open I believe he'd have the tools to be a franchise QB even with his noodle arm. He did that in college but it hasn't translated to the pro level.
  16. At the end of the day, Young doesn’t offer enough to make up for the limited scheme he requires. He’d have to be laser accurate and make little to no mistakes to dink-and-dunk 50 times a game and win consistently at this level. What’s worse is that even when it all goes to plan that’s a lot of hospital balls shortening the career of the recievers. I felt bad for Sanders and Renfrow in week 2. Nice drives every now and then aren’t going to cut it. Every guy we’ve trotted out there since Cam has been able to impress in spurts. If Young can’t do that consistently and prevents us from having a deep ball what are we doing?
  17. Bryce can’t afford the bad ball security. Without the turnovers it was a good game from him.
  18. And there's no guarantee some other team's reject is going to be our prize. We've tried that a few times. I'd sooner bet on a draft pick than a veteran having a resurgence in Carolina at this point. And yeah I think a big veteran QB signing as if this is a win now roster would be shortsighted
  19. Cam looked like a #1 pick from day one. Literally broke the record for passing yards in a NFL debut and never got the leeway these QBs get now. The narrative to this day is that he wasn't a good passer. Don't know what you got till it's gone...
  20. It’s the media giving him the treatment Cam deserved for me. FOH using drops and college pedigree as excuses now.
  21. Let him play out the year. If he’s as bad as feared we’ll have a top pick to get the next guy. The only advantage in benching him early is to try and preserve his trade stock, but at this point I doubt we’re getting much unless he’s traded after some promising performances
  22. Not saying I’d rather have Russ than Bryce bro I don’t even believe he would have a won out in camp. Point is if Canales didn’t even consider him I doubt Young competing was ever on the table
  23. Red flag went up for me when Canales publically passed on Russell Wilson. What better way to push Bryce than the SB veteran who put this coach on the map, has a comparative style of play, and believes he's still got it. He probably would have rejected having to fight for a starting role but the fact that Canales didn't even consider his guy tells me there was an order from up top to clear the runway for Young.
